December 13 20092009-12-13Two men sit barefoot on bare ground working on a metal sculpture. The man on the left wears a white shirt and light blue jeans and uses a chisel-like tool on the metal. The man on the right wears a teal-grey shirt, a mustard-yellow dhoti with yellow border, and a red thread on his wrist, holding a hammer. Behind them sit sacks, copper-coloured pots and other tools on the dusty ground. No deity form is clearly identifiable from this view.2009-12-13December 06 20072007-12-06November 29 20132013-11-29Two men sit on the floor of a workshop working on a wooden object with a metal tool. The man on the left wears a white sleeveless vest and a blue-and-white checked lungi and presses a rounded metal piece against carved wood. The man on the right wears a grey sleeveless vest and checked lungi, holds a small hammer and chisel, and has a red thread on his wrist. A green plastic bottle sits on the concrete floor behind them, with wooden planks and metal scraps around. Carved wooden panels lie in the foreground.2006-12-10 +1 copiesA photograph of two men working in a covered workshop with a concrete wall and corrugated metal sheets. On the left a young man in a white sleeveless vest and checked lungi sits on a green plastic chair, his hands resting on a wooden form. On the right a man in a grey sleeveless vest and checked lungi sits cross-legged and taps a wooden-handled mallet on a metal piece over a wooden frame of planks. Behind them are a rust-coloured copper sheet, a metal bowl, a carved stone panel, a fan and a dark bag. A large copper-tone sheet leans on the right wall. The scene suggests metal casting and craft work.2006-12-10A photograph of a man in a striped yellow-and-white shirt and checked lungi crouched on a concrete floor, hammering a sheet of metal with a wooden-handled hammer. He is bent low over the work, and a second person in a blue-and-black checked lungi sits beside him holding a small printed booklet with a colourful cover showing a robed figure. Scattered wooden boards, sacks and a large copper pipe lie in the background of a workshop used for metal casting work.2006-12-10 +1 copiesTwo young men work on a stone carving in a cramped workshop with a tiled wall and a turquoise cabinet behind them. The man on the right, shirtless and wearing a blue checked lungi, holds a hammer and chisel against a white stone block resting on a wooden board. The man on the left, in a blue sleeveless top and orange-peach dhoti with a red wrist thread, leans forward bent over the same work with a small tool. Chisels lie scattered on the floor and cloth sacks are piled behind them.2013-06-27A man in a white and blue striped polo shirt and maroon lungi squats barefoot on a dusty floor, chiselling a plank with a wooden mallet and chisel. Wood shavings and offcuts surround him, with stacked timber and tools on the ground, a plastic bag, and a red and navy backpack against a concrete wall. A small orange thread is tied on his wrist. The scene reads as a workshop carpentry task.2009-12-06June 26 20132013-06-26December 06 20092009-12-06October 22 20112011-10-22
