Many devotees, mostly men in white dhotis and some in saffron or orange robes with rudraksha malas, sit or stand in long rows, placing food onto banana leaves and plates on low tables. A woman in an orange sari serves from steel containers at the back, and a golden throne-like chair stands at the right wall beside a wooden cabinet. Plates of food are laid out in front of several seated people, and the scene suggests a communal meal service.2017-08-26May 13 20132013-05-13Wide photograph of a large hall where many monastic disciples in saffron-orange robes sit in rows on mats performing a puja. In the foreground, several seated people with white sandalwood or ash markings on their chests and arms, one with long dark hair, press their palms together before brass plates, with banana-leaf plates of offerings, flowers and small oil lamps set along the aisles. Behind them, rows of people in white clothing sit facing the front, and framed photographs hang on the walls above a side table. Bright ceiling lights and ceiling fans are visible. No figure is clearly identifiable as a person in this frame, and the people shown are presented by role only.2017-05-08May 13 20132013-05-13Annadhan in 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesA line of women in orange and maroon clothing and white hairnets serves food from steel trays on a checkered tablecloth, as part of an ashram annadan style meal service.
