A man with long dreadlocked hair, a red tilak, a rudraksha-style mala and a thick garland of white and pink beads sits on a red-cushioned throne in front of a large golden deity murti, smiling as he holds rice in his hand over a silver bowl. Behind the throne, walls are hung with floral garlands of yellow, orange and white flowers, and a golden trident stands nearby. A woman in an orange sari stands with her back to the camera in the foreground, and a woman in cream clothes holds a bowl on the right. A man in white dhoti with gold border kneels before a seated man on a silver and red velvet throne, offering something with his hands. Behind them a standing figure in orange clothing and a tall crown-like headdress with a tiki mark on the forehead holds a silver staff. Other devotees in red and white robes and rudraksha malas stand in the background. A silver staff rises beside the throne and a small table fan stands nearby.2018-01-06July 02 20162016-07-02April 28 20162016-04-28A photograph inside a gold-decorated hall where a man with long dreadlocked hair sits on a red velvet throne framed by a floral arch of yellow marigolds, red roses and white jasmine. He wears a rust-red dhoti-style garment, gold armlets and a heavy gold-and-white flower garland, and his eyes are closed as devotees offer him ritual attention. Around him, a seated man in white shirt extends his palms, a woman in a gold-bordered sari and several people in white and rust-coloured clothes hold offerings and garlands over a tray of flowers, puja items and papers. A standing devotee in rust-red and gold border touches the offerings. A white tower fan stands at the right edge and gold deity relief panels decorate the walls behind. The setting resembles a guru-puja offering ceremony.2016-07-19A seated man on an ornate gold-and-red throne receives a ritual offering during a ceremony. He wears a leopard-print turban, a brown-red robe, a long garland of yellow marigolds, red roses and white flowers, and multiple gold necklaces and bangles. He holds a green leaf bundle aloft in one hand while a younger attendant in an orange turban and orange robe, with sandalwood markings and beaded malas, holds a silver pot. A silver trident stands beside the throne. Behind them, a man in white dhoti and a bare-chested man with a rudraksha mala stand near pillars. Swamiji (probable): the seated central figure wears a leopard turban, gold ceremonial necklaces and a garland on a throne, and is the presiding figure at the ritual.2017-08-25May 10 20182018-05-10A photograph of a seated man with long dark swept-back hair, wearing a saffron-orange robe, a red and white flower garland, and rudraksha malas, seated on a red throne with gold lion-head armrests under a white and red tent. A woman in white with a red-bordered sari kneels before him, touching his hand, while a bare-chested man in orange with a yellow and white bead necklace stands behind. Several women in orange and saffron garments with beaded necklaces, some holding offerings, gather around, and more devotees in white stand in the background. The seated figure appears to be a probable Swamiji candidate based on his long swept-back hair, ornate saffron clothing, rudraksha malas and garland. The scene resembles a devotional puja or padapuja at a festival setting.2016-01-03A seated man in a deep orange-red garment, wearing a long multi-strand garland of yellow, green, white and red flowers and gold bell-like ornaments, reaches toward a silver-rimmed tray of fruit, flowers and offerings held by an attendant at left. Gold bangles adorn his wrists and upper arm. Behind him a gilded decorative backrest or throne is visible, with another person in orange robes and rudraksha mala standing in the background beside green foliage. The setting suggests a ritual offering or puja.2016-07-18January 01 20182018-01-01
