Night photograph of an outdoor temple-style ritual stage. A golden deity murti of a seated figure with an elephant-like head is decorated with yellow and orange marigold garlands and draped in pink and white cloth, set before an ornate gold arch and a large orange and blue canopy. A priest in orange robes and a white-and-gold-bordered dhoti, with a rudraksha mala and a shaved head, stands at right waving a cloud of white vibhuti or incense toward the murti. At left, a man in a white dhoti sits watching, and another man in a dark shirt operates equipment beside a black speaker. A blue cloth covers the base of the murti and a table with orange cloth sits in the foreground.

Night procession scene: a man in a saffron-orange dhoti and bare chest stands on a golden ratha/palanquin, raising a white chamara fan over a decorated deity murti draped in garlands of yellow, orange and pink flowers. Seated in front on a orange cloth-covered platform is a bearded man in a rust-red robe with a red turban and a long yellow-and-orange garland, who appears to be the honoured guest of the procession. Beside the cart, a man with a rudraksha mala and bare chest holds a ceremonial umbrella fringed in red, green and yellow. Women in white and devotees stand nearby on a dark roadside, with a large gold canopy frame behind the deity.

A photograph of a shaved-headed priest in an orange saffron dhoti and shawl, wearing a beaded necklace, waving a white feather fan or chamara over a decorated deity murti. The murti stands in a gold-and-red shrine canopy, draped in garlands of white, orange, pink and purple flowers, with a gold ornate backdrop and a red-and-gold railing behind. The setting is an outdoor temple area with green foliage and stone steps on the left, consistent with a puja or aarti ritual.

Night procession photograph of a silver and gold ornate palanquin carrying a richly decorated deity murti of Meenakshi, adorned with jewels, garlands and a tall white crown, set against a purple canopy backdrop. In the foreground a bare-chested man in orange cloth holds a large feathered fan or chamara aloft above the murti. To the right, a young man with a rudraksha mala necklace, orange cloth and bare chest stands beside the palanquin, one hand resting on its railing. Two people are visible.

A pillared open temple pavilion with orange and white striped walls. A shaved-headed priest in an orange dhoti and orange shawl stands at left, holding a large white fan (chamara) over a decorated deity murti garlanded with flowers, seated on an ornate gold-trimmed altar with offerings, brass vessels and a flower-decorated lamp stand. Behind, a gold-framed deity pair stands in a shrine niche with a red curtain. At right, an empty ornate gold throne with red cushions bears a framed portrait of a saffron-robed figure seated in meditation. Red carpet covers the floor and an orange curtain hangs at the pillars.

Night procession at a temple festival. In the foreground, a woman in orange robes and a gold-beaded necklace sits on an ornate red and gold throne, looking to the side. Behind her, men in white dhotis with yellow or red-bordered shawls carry a wooden palanquin draped in yellow cloth and garlanded with yellow and white flowers, bearing a small metal deity murti. A man in orange and white stands near the throne, and another person waves a white feathered fan. Strings of lights and patterned banners decorate the background.

A photograph of a ritual inside a red and orange tented hall. In the foreground a shaved-headed priest in an orange dhoti with gold-bordered shawl, sandalwood marks and rudraksha mala, faces away from the camera while holding a lit camphor aarti flame on a brass plate toward a golden throne. Seated on the ornate gold throne under a gold parasol is a figure in orange robes with long dark hair, a white beaded necklace and a gold chain, hands joined in greeting; the figure's identity is uncertain from appearance alone. Behind the throne stands a gold-framed deity murti with a trident-like staff nearby, and to the right a seated woman in orange with a flower garland. Two small girls in orange kneel at the lower edge beside black monitors, and a framed photo hangs at left.

Night aarti at a shrine under a corrugated roof. A young man in orange robes with a bare chest and white body markings raises a lit oil lamp toward a silver-and-gold deity murti decorated with marigold and multicoloured garlands, seated on a silver throne between two golden guardian figures. A second orange-robed man beside him holds a brass bell, and a third man in glasses and a white dhoti stands behind with bare chest and sacred markings. Teal and blue painted peacock-like forms lie at the base of the shrine steps, and coloured string lights hang in the background.
