September 19 20152015-09-19Photograph of a ritual scene inside a temple hall with a gold-trimmed pillar. A seated man in orange-red saffron cloth with a gold-bordered shawl, rudraksha beads, a red-and-gold headband and a red bindi with white vibhuti marks holds a small gold cup or vessel in his hands. Beside him, a man in a white dhoti with gold borders applies white paste to his forehead, and another man in saffron robes with a rudraksha mala and white marks on his forehead and arms assists nearby. A golden throne with red cushioning and a large gold backrest stands behind the seated figure, and an orange-and-blue ornamental fan or prabhavali hangs on the pillar.2012-05-09A seated man in orange and saffron robes with a rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions in a temple-like hall, with an orange shawl over his shoulders and a trident and deity murti decorated with garlands behind him. Devotees in white dhotis and shawls sit before him, some with hands folded in prayer, others seated with brass plates of offerings, flowers and oil lamps arranged on the floor in front of the throne. Women in white saris and a girl with a long braid kneel nearby, with a large framed photograph of a deity at the right edge. The setting looks like a puja or satsang, with a golden canopy and flower garlands in saffron, yellow and red.2010-11-14June 05 20122012-06-05Temple scene with a decorated palanquin-like shrine draped in red and maroon cloth, garlanded with pink and red flowers, holding a golden figure. The older man in the centre, bare-chested with a headband, rudraksha mala and gold pendant, raises both arms overhead. Behind them an orange flag hangs from a pole, and a second gold seat with a red cushion stands nearby. Several other saffron-robed attendants and a man in white move through the background.2012-05-18A photograph inside a decorated ritual pavilion showing a priest in red dhoti and shawl, wearing a tall black and gold crown, heavy gold necklaces, bangles and a red tilak, standing before a fire bowl. He holds an offering over a bright flame at the centre front, with brass bowls arranged on the red floor. Behind him, two attendants in red garments and rudraksha malas stand near a tray of red flower petals. An older bald man in orange robes bends forward to receive or present something from the seated figure. Behind them, several people in orange robes, rudraksha malas and a woman in white stand in a red-carpeted hall with a floor fan and framed photos on the wall. Offerings of bananas sit in a box in front. The seated figure has long dark hair and ornate gold-framed chair styling, but the appearance is not clearly enough distinctive to confirm a candidate.2014-08-06A seated figure in a red-orange robe and red turban, wearing a long white and red flower garland, sits on a red-cushioned chair in a small pink-walled room while a silver trident is held upright beside them.
