A photograph of a large lecture hall with tiered rows of blue-cushioned wooden seats filled with young women wearing white shawls or dupattas over colourful salwar kameez and traditional clothing. Many have long dark hair, some in braids, and several wear glasses. They sit attentively, looking toward the front of the hall where a speaker or screen would be. No speaker or deity is visible in the frame. The walls are pale yellow-cream and the lighting is warm.2011-10-30October 30 20112011-10-30October 29 20102010-10-29 +1 copiesOctober 29 20102010-10-29 +1 copiesA large indoor hall with white walls, ceiling fans and fluorescent lights shows a crowd of young women standing in rows between blue-grey fixed benches on a tiered floor. White metal scaffolding and a wooden lattice wall form the backdrop. No central speaker is clearly visible in the frame.2008-06-22A large indoor hall filled with seated women at a convention, most wearing white saris with gold or coloured borders and some with name badges on their clothing. They sit close together in rows, several with hands folded or resting in laps, and a few with hair pulled back and plain gold earrings or thin necklaces. Lattice-patterned windows and pale walls line the room, and a few figures in white stand in the background near the back of the hall, while the front of the stage is out of frame.2006-07-30A photograph of a large crowd of students seated in rows of white plastic chairs inside a long hall with white walls and red curtains.
