A construction site beside a green wire fence and dry earth mounds. Several workers break and sort grey stone pieces on a pile at the edge of red-and-white concrete steps. A woman in a patterned skirt and head covering bends over the stones, another woman in a yellow sari stoops to the left, and a man in a blue shirt and checked lungi stands holding a tool. Two men sit on the steps at right, one in a yellow shirt and one in a striped shirt and grey trousers, with a coil of cable and tools nearby. The scene shows manual construction labour on a landscaped stepped structure.

A dusty construction site with reddish-brown earth mounds and piles of cut grey granite blocks. Several workers in lungis and head towels carry out site labour: one man in a striped shirt and green lungi walks with a shovel, another in a white shirt and turban carries a shovel, and a man in a beige shirt holds a small child in red on his shoulder. A woman in a red and white sari with a head covering stands at the left among stones and green shrubs. Coconut palms and a line of trees fill the background under a pale hazy sky.

Outdoor construction site with workers laying grey stone blocks and paving on a long flight of red-and-white painted steps. Five men work in lightweight clothing: one in a green shirt crouches at left, one in a white shirt with a red head cloth kneels in front, one in an orange top and white dhoti bends over the steps at right, and two more stand in white and yellow clothes in the background. Piles of rusted iron rebar, cut stone slabs and loose gravel lie around, with dry earth and mounds of sand behind a green wire fence.

A photograph of construction workers at an outdoor tiered amphitheatre site under construction. Five men and a boy push and guide long wooden poles, with a heavy black cable or rope wrapped around them, along a concrete walkway between red brick tiered seating. Workers wear white or checked lungis, pink, blue and white head cloths, and one wears a striped shirt. Several rubber tyres lie on the sandy ground, and rows of potted plants line the seating steps. Palm trees and a clear sky appear in the background.

A photograph of four men laying stone paving on a dirt construction site outdoors. A man in a pink shirt and checked lungi bends forward holding a long-handled tool to press cement between grey stone slabs. Beside him a man in a cream shirt and striped lungi stands watching, and an older man in a checked shirt and white head cloth crouches to set a large pale stone slab with a blue bucket beside him. A man in a yellow striped shirt helps guide the slab, and an older man in a light blue shirt and dark trousers stands at right. Behind them stand a shed, a red container and banana plants, with stacked stone blocks scattered across the ground.

A construction site outdoors beside a red-walled building with an arched roof. Several workers in light clothing labour on a trench lined with grey cut granite stones; one man in a white shirt and white lungi, another in a brown shirt with an orange-striped lungi, and a worker in a pink shirt and red headcloth lay stones along the trench. Shovels and loose grey stones lie on reddish soil, and stacked concrete blocks stand at right. A white car and palm-like trees appear in the background. No a person candidate is visible.

A photograph of a large rectangular excavation in reddish-brown earth at a temple construction site, for the foundation of a devalayam. Five labourers work inside the pit: a man in a white shirt and white dhoti swings a pickaxe at the bottom, while others in checked shirts, a green shirt with a headband, and a pink shirt use shovels and metal trays to clear soil. A bare-chested man in a grey shirt and red checked lungi stands at the right edge, and a few white-clad figures are seen in the distance near small buildings. Piled bricks, a blue tarpaulin and loose tools lie on the ground.
