In the foreground a man in a white kurta holds a microphone on a cable, while a group of men in white dhotis and white shirts stand in a row, several wearing brown rudraksha-style garlands around their necks and holding small yellow sheets. Behind them devotees sit in white and red garments, and framed pictures line the back walls.2014-08-24Photograph of a large white-walled indoor hall with recessed ceiling lights and a red carpet runner running down the centre floor. Two lines of devotees stand on either side with palms pressed together in greeting: men in white dhotis and shirts, some wearing garlands and saffron-coloured shawls, on the left, and women in white and pastel saris on the right. In the middle, a figure in an off-white robe walks along the carpet toward the far arch. A cameraman in the lower left films the scene.2005-12-11December 11 20052005-12-11Photograph of a large, bright hall with white walls, a high ceiling with recessed lights and a red carpet runner down the centre. In the foreground an older man in white ritual clothes with a rudraksha mala walks along the carpet, palms pressed together in greeting. Behind him a long line of men in white shirts and white dhotis, many wearing rudraksha malas, stands with hands folded, while white plastic chairs are stacked along the left wall. A clock hangs on the wall and a palm plant sits in the lower left corner.2005-12-11A photograph of a long row of men standing barefoot on a red carpet under a white tent canopy with draped cream fabric behind them. Most wear white shirts and white dhotis or trousers, with lanyards around their necks, and several are gesturing or raising their hands. A white-haired man with glasses stands near the right. No one is clearly identifiable as a person, and the scene shows volunteers or devotees in a staged event setting.2006-12-17A large indoor hall with white walls, a curved ceiling and recessed spotlights shows a broad line of men standing in rows on a red carpet runner. Most wear white shirts and white dhotis or trousers, and many have white caps or white head coverings; several wear saffron or orange shawls and garlands with rudraksha-style beads. Plastic chairs are stacked along the left wall beneath a clock and an arched window. In the centre foreground, a man in an orange shawl and white clothes stands beside a figure in light trousers holding flowers, facing the room in welcome. Two elderly men at left lean on canes. The space is clean and bare, with a polished concrete floor.2005-12-11August 13 20162016-08-13August 05 20162016-08-05 +1 copiesDecember 17 20062006-12-17July 31 20152015-07-31Article - November 26 20062006-11-26
