A seated man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala and a gold-toned ceremonial necklace places his right hand on the forehead of a seated devotee in a grey-and-white striped shirt and a red shawl, while holding a small white paper in his left hand. Golden deity murti and a gold-framed portrait with an orange turban-clad figure stand in the background on a gold-framed throne area, with a red patterned floor mat and a white offering plate nearby. The robed figure's long hair is tied back, and the setting is an indoor hall.2014-03-13March 19 20142014-03-19A photograph of a ritual blessing. A man with hair tied up and a rudraksha-style necklace, wearing a rust-red and orange wrap and seated beside an ornate gold-carved throne with an orange fringed canopy, places his right palm on the forehead of a man in a white shirt and red shawl. The recipient holds his other hand up with a beaded bracelet on the wrist, and a sheet of paper is held in the blessing hand. Behind them a woman in white with a dark bead mala watches, and other people in white and red stand out of focus.2013-12-20A seated man in saffron-orange robes with a bare upper body and a rudraksha-style brown mala necklace places his right hand on the forehead of a younger man in a grey-and-white striped polo shirt with a red shawl. The blessing giver holds a folded white paper in his left hand, and a gleaming gold deity murti or kalasha sits nearby on a red patterned mat. The setting appears to be an indoor satsang hall with cream walls. Appearance-based cues for the blessing giver include long swept-back hair and ornate saffron clothing, so he is a person candidate in person. The blessed man wears a red-orange scarf and a red wrist thread.2014-03-13A seated priest in a rust-brown and gold-bordered dhoti-style cloth with white vibhuti marks on his forehead and orange-red beaded necklaces places his right hand on the forehead of a shaven-headed man in an orange-red robe and rudraksha mala, who has white tilak marks and an earring. Behind them a seated woman in a maroon robe and dark beads watches, and two people in cream and white stand in a room with red curtains. The scene resembles a forehead blessing or initiation during a ritual.2013-11-05A seated man in an orange-red garment and a rudraksha mala places his right palm on the forehead of a younger man in a white shirt with a red shawl. The blessing figure has long hair tied back and a gold-trimmed red cloth over the shoulder, sitting beside an ornate gold-coloured object. A bare-chested man with swept-back hair, a white tilak on his forehead, and layered rudraksha malas smiles while raising his right hand to touch the forehead of a second man. The second man wears an orange shirt and orange shawl, eyes closed, with gold bangles and a ring, and his hands are open in front of him. The first man holds a small paper card in his left hand, and a red cloth and small items are visible on a table below. The bare-chested figure's distinctive hair, rudraksha malas and ornamentation match the a person cues, so he is described as a person in a blessing role; the other man is a devotee.2012-09-08July 19 20152015-07-19December 26 20152015-12-26
