May 05 20132013-05-05Hazy outdoor photo taken from an elevated vantage point over a green, overgrown embankment. Tall coconut palms fill the left foreground, with a white-walled compound, a small white building with a dark doorway, and a black water tank at the lower right. A concrete overpass with pillars crosses the middle ground, and a white-and-blue bus or coach is parked beneath it. On top of the overpass, a group of people in white and saffron-orange clothing stand near orange flags, and a few more people in white stand at the left edge on the far road. A white house with a red roof sits in the distant background among trees. The individuals are too small and distant for any appearance-based identification.2010-07-24A photograph taken from an elevated position of a concrete overpass carrying a procession of people in white clothes and orange-saffron flags along its edges, with a passing white-and-blue train below. Palm trees, a small white building with a corrugated roof, a water tank and a low wall fill the foreground, with hazy buildings in the distance. Several figures in white walk along the bridge railing, some holding orange flags on poles.2010-07-24A photograph of a temple tower with a blue corrugated roof over a black-painted vertical shrine structure, set on a white steel frame with stairs. Beneath it sits a white bull Nandi statue beside a painted deity or guardian figure on a plinth with a gold-toned kalasha. A red and white striped compound wall runs along a dusty plot beside a green field, where several cattle and birds graze. A passenger train with blue and white carriages passes behind, and palm trees and green trees fill the background under a pale sky.2012-05-30March 03 20072007-03-03Outdoor photograph of a religious procession crossing a concrete overpass above a railway track. Several robed devotees in white and saffron stand along the parapet, and a decorated palanquin-style ratha with a striped canopy, flower garlands and colourful fabric streamers is carried across the bridge. An orange and blue flag flies at left, palm trees line the background, and overcast sky fills the top. A deity murti is not clearly visible. A small number of people are visible on the bridge.2005-12-31September 16 20062006-09-16A photograph taken from an elevated position looking down along a curving double railway track through open countryside. A yellow-and-dark locomotive or train car is approaching on the left track in the distance. Gravel ballast lines both tracks, with grassy embankments, scrubland, palm trees and a distant line of trees on either side. A white sky fills the upper area. No people are visible in the scene.2010-07-24A hazy outdoor view of a concrete overpass crossing a dry grassy embankment, with a long blue-and-white passenger train passing beneath it. Along the top of the bridge and its approach, a crowd of people in white clothing walks in a line, with some carrying orange flags. Palm trees stand in the foreground beside a white single-storey building with a grey tiled roof, a black water tank, and a boundary wall. Several more white-clad walkers are visible on the far road and in the background, near a red-roofed house.2010-07-24A wide outdoor photograph of a concrete road bridge crossing over a railway line, with a blue-and-white passenger train passing beneath it. On top of the bridge and along its approach stairs, a crowd of people dressed in white walks alongside red-and-orange flags, with a distinct white-clad group forming a procession. Palm trees, a low green hedge, a water tank and a white single-storey building with a tiled roof fill the foreground, and a hazy sky and distant houses sit behind.2010-07-24A telephoto photo of a passing blue-and-white train beneath a concrete overpass, with a palm tree in the foreground and green shrubs along the embankment. On top of the bridge, a crowd of people dressed in white garments stands along the railing, several holding saffron-orange flags on poles. The scene suggests a yatra procession watching or accompanying the train from the bridge. Tall palms and a white building appear at the edges.2010-07-24A photograph of a busy road with traffic beside a railway line. A long blue passenger train runs along the left side. A roadside pole carries an orange banner showing a saffron-robed figure with long hair. On the right, a man in white clothes stands on the median strip gesturing toward traffic. Cars, vans and buses fill the lanes, and a driver in a silver car looks out of the window on the left.2010-07-24
