September 07 20112011-09-07Photograph of a devotional blessing inside a temple hall with arched white pillars and blue accents. A man in an orange-red shawl and cream-white ritual dhoti, wearing a white jasmine garland and a long rudraksha mala, with a red bindi and a gold ear stud, touches the forehead of a young man in a black-and-white checked shirt who holds a folded white paper. Several onlookers in white and pale clothing stand behind, and a man in white with a vermilion mark is visible.2012-05-31A photograph of two men facing each other in a hall during an oath or vow-taking moment. On the left, a man in a terracotta-orange kurta wears rudraksha and beaded malas and raises both palms outward, smiling. On the right, a bare-shouldered man with hair tied in a bun and a brown rudraksha necklace wears a red-and-gold wrap, holding a printed sheet of text and looking toward the first man. Behind them a cameraman operates a tripod-mounted camera, and other people in white clothing stand in the blurred background.2011-09-04 +1 copiesSeptember 07 20112011-09-07August 21 20122012-08-21 +1 copiesFebruary 09 20122012-02-09A seated man in saffron and orange robes with a rudraksha mala and a red bindi leans forward and reaches toward a devotee, who is taking a small white paper or card from his hand. The seated man rests his hand on a large gold-coloured lion-head or leonine sculpture beside him. The devotee wears a dark grey button shirt, an orange rudraksha mala and a wristwatch, and has his palms joined. Behind them a man in white clothing with a red tilak sits, and a red-shirted person and a standing man in white stand in the background, with a fan and flower garlands visible at the left edge.2013-09-29A photograph of a discourse setting with red drapes behind. On the right, a bare-chested man with hair tied in a bun wears an orange saffron shawl over his shoulders and a rudraksha mala, and holds up a folded white paper to a man on the left. That man wears a white shirt and a rudraksha mala, with palms pressed together in namaste and a moustache. A cameraman in a red shirt films from a tripod in the background, and a seated man in a white shirt with a red tilak is partly visible below. The orange-robed figure has distinctive long swept-back hair and rudraksha beads, with a ceremonial gold border, consistent with a person presence; this is an appearance-based label only, and the presence is uncertain given the lack of a face-level match.2011-09-17A photograph of a man in a cream-coloured turban and white dhoti with a bare upper torso, wearing a garland of yellow flowers with green leaves, a rudraksha mala and bead bracelets, reading a small white paper handed to him by a devotee. The turbaned man has a distinctive ceremonial presentation with a wrap and adornments, but his face and features are not clearly visible, so the identity is uncertain. Beside him, a monk in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala and tilak stands closely. On the left, a man in a white shirt folds his hands in namaste toward him. Behind them, a crowd of devotees in white and light clothing fills a bright hall with a red curtain. +2 copiesA photograph of a man in saffron-orange draped clothing with gold waistband and gold-bead armlets, having a long white jasmine garland placed over his head by a devotee in a white shirt. The recipient has a white vertical tilak on his forehead and his hair is swept back. Two women in orange saris stand behind, one with a gold necklace and a bindi, and a red curtain and white drapes form the backdrop. Pink flower petals and a small tray are visible in the lower frame. The recipient's appearance includes swept-back hair, gold ornaments and saffron clothing, with a devotee garlanding him, consistent with a person presence, though the identification is uncertain.2012-09-05A photograph of two men in close conversation indoors. On the left, a man in a white kurta with a rudraksha mala raises both open palms in an explaining gesture, his gaze directed toward the other man. On the right, a man with hair tied in a topknot and wearing an orange-saffron shawl with gold border holds a small white card and looks down at it. A third man in orange clothing sits blurred in the background, and a tripod stands behind them. The setting appears to be a hall with red drapery.2011-09-03 +1 copiesFebruary 22 20162016-02-22 +1 copies
