A group walks single file along a dusty, rocky dirt path through scrubby green trees toward a hillside of rock outcrops and green slopes under a pale sky. In front, a young man in an orange dhoti-style wrap and red top, wearing orange sandals, walks with his hand gathering his robe. Beside the path, a man in white kurta and dhoti with an orange-red shawl over his shoulder carries a water bottle. Behind them, several women in white saris with gold borders and one in a pink sari walk in a line.

A photograph of a group walking along a dry dirt path through scrubby trees and bushes under a pale sky. In the centre, a young man in a saffron-orange robe with a red inner garment walks ahead, shoulders bare of any shawl and holding a small cord or garland. Around him, women and girls in white saris with yellow or gold borders, some with red or orange shawls and beaded necklaces, walk in procession. On the right, another young man in an orange robe and matching shawl walks beside them. A few other figures in white and yellow clothing trail behind. The mood is an organised walking procession through rural countryside.

A photograph of a group of people walking in a line along a dusty dirt path lined with scrub, rubble and green trees. In the foreground a woman in white with an orange-bordered shawl and rudraksha mala walks on the left. Behind her a woman in a red top and blue skirt, and a blonde woman in an orange-brown outfit, carry small bottles. A bald man in a white kurta and white dhoti with a red-bead mala walks at right, with others in white, orange and green clothing behind. Several people carry red-brown bags and a blue-sleeved figure walks at the far right. The walkers wear white, saffron, green and red clothing and mala beads.

A photograph of a group walking single file along a dry, dusty dirt path lined with scrubby trees and tall grass. In the centre, a young man in a long saffron-orange wrap walks barefoot in sandals, with a red undergarment visible. Beside and behind him, a line of devotees in white and cream clothes with gold borders carry water bottles and wear thin beaded necklaces. On the right, another orange-clad figure in an orange kurta and wrap walks alongside, and a woman in white with a red forehead mark walks at the edge. Some participants wear white shirts and bright shawls. The scene reads as a sannyasi-led walking procession or pilgrimage on a country road.

A group walks single file along a dusty, rocky dirt path through dry scrubland and trees, with hills in the hazy background. Two men in front wear saffron-orange robes: the nearer one in an orange wrap with a red undershirt and sandals, the one beside him in a long orange kurta with a dhoti-style lower garment and sandals. Behind them a man in white shirt and white dhoti walks, followed by a column of about twenty devotees, many women in white saris and men in white, some with yellow and green shawls, carrying the procession forward toward Arunachala Hill. The scene suggests a sacred hill circumambulation, with the orange-clad leaders at the head. The front figure's appearance is not clearly distinctive enough to confirm an identity.

In the foreground a woman in an all-white outfit carries an orange cup, and beside her a woman in a white top and maroon trousers wears a beaded mala. Behind them, a woman carries a purple yoga mat rolled under her arm, and others in white and pink salwar clothing follow along the path between flat stone markers. Bright sunlight filters through leafy branches, with a red-orange building visible in the background.
