A photograph at a construction site with a pile of broken grey stone in the foreground, scaffolding poles on the left and a large dark Nandi bull statue beside a stone plinth. In the centre a gilded wooden palanquin or ratha with carved pillars and a small roof is being moved, with a deity murti visible inside. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts crowd around it, some pushing and some on the vehicle, and one man wears an orange shawl. Trees and an open pale sky are behind.2006-12-20December 20 20062006-12-20A procession at dusk moves through a dusty compound lined with stacked stone slabs. At centre, a gold-and-red palanquin with a white canopy and striped fringe, decorated with purple and yellow garlands, carries two seated figures; one wears a saffron-orange garment and a tall crown-like headdress, and attendants in dhoti-clad white stand around it. Nearby devotees in white dhotis and shirts, women in sarees including blue and orange, and a man in an orange shawl walk or stand along the route. A white vehicle and a red boundary wall with a lamp post frame the scene.2015-02-17 +1 copiesElevated view of a ratha yatra procession on a dirt road at dusk, with a decorated golden chariot (ratha) draped in red and orange cloth and strung with garlands, carrying a framed portrait and an ornate canopy. Crowds of devotees in white dhotis and kurtas, many wearing orange or saffron shawls, walk alongside and carry white placards, with some women in saris. Behind them stands a large black Shiva lingam with water spraying from above, set against a striped white-and-red pavilion and rocky hills. The chariot's canopy holds decorative umbrellas in red and yellow. Around 100 people are visible.2009-02-16December 22 20102010-12-22December 31 20092009-12-31Night procession at an outdoor ashram setting on a dirt ground. A golden palanquin-style cart carrying a deity murti decorated with marigold garlands and colourful striped fabric canopy is pulled by men in white dhotis. A barefoot man in white with a rudraksha mala and orange shawl walks at the front, holding the cart rope. Other men in white and orange-trimmed attire follow, and a woman in a white sari with a yellow-green shawl stands at right among devotees. Pulling a cart with a golden deity murti under a canopy at night is a procession. The front man's appearance is not distinctive enough to establish a person's presence.2010-11-20December 20 20102010-12-20December 31 20092009-12-31October 31 20112011-10-31December 22 20102010-12-22December 27 20092009-12-27
