A photograph inside a stone temple hall with granite pillars and a low ceiling. Center frame, a man with long swept-back dark hair and a full beard wears a rust-orange garment with a brown shoulder cloth and walks past a pillar. Beside him, a younger man in an orange dhoti and a rudraksha mala walks with a bare chest and orange cloth. Behind them, a man in white shirt and dhoti, and a few people in orange robes and a woman in a green sari stand in the background. Stainless steel railings and a yellow metal box are in the foreground. A yellow banner with Tamil script hangs on the right wall. The man in the centre shows cues consistent with a person, though this cannot be confirmed from appearance alone.

Inside a stone temple hall with carved granite pillars, a procession walks across a bare stone floor while devotees watch from behind a yellow-and-orange metal railing. In the centre, a man in saffron robes with long dark hair and a gold chain walks barefoot, holding a small pink object in his hands. Beside him, a man in saffron with a red sash and a garland of marigolds walks with his hands joined, and a man in a light-coloured saffron garment with a garland also walks nearby. Behind them, a man in white dhoti and shirt, a woman in a purple and green sari, and a bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with a rudraksha mala follow. Onlookers stand along the railing, including a woman in a purple sari and another in a pink-and-blue shawl. Fluorescent lights hang from the ceiling.

A photograph inside a stone temple hall with carved pillars, where three men in saffron-orange robes stand near a yellow metal railing while onlookers watch. The central figure has a long grey beard, rudraksha mala beads and a wristwatch, and holds a small red item. Beside him on the left, a man in orange with glasses wears a gold pendant. On the right, a younger man in an orange robe with a gold necklace stands with hands folded in namaskar, with a red bindi and white tilak on his forehead. Behind them, men in white and checked shirts, a man bare-chested with a white dhoti, and a uniformed police officer are visible.

Two men stand in a stone temple doorway lit by a fluorescent tube. The man on the left has long dark hair, a beard, white and red forehead markings, a brown robe, a dark rudraksha mala and a long green, white, yellow and pink flower garland; he smiles with hands clasped. The man on the right wears an orange shirt and yellow-orange dhoti with a red forehead mark and a wristwatch, and gestures with his hands. Behind them a decorated deity murti is garlanded with flowers inside a shrine, with a brass kalasha-like vessel at right.

A photograph inside a temple corridor with pale orange walls and stone pillars. At centre, a bare-footed man in a rust-red saffron robe wears a long multicoloured flower garland and a large rudraksha mala with a crown-like headdress over a shaved head area; a red-brown shawl drapes his shoulders. Around him walk several men: on his left a bare-chested man in white dhoti with a rudraksha mala, on his right a man in orange cloth with rudraksha malas and a sannyasi in orange garments, and a man in white dhoti at far right with a mala. A man in yellow shirt and green-blue trousers stands at left, and children sit near the left wall. A stone plaque in the lower right reads a Tamil inscription. Marble steps lead down to the floor.

A crowded photograph inside a stone temple hall with dark granite pillars and a tiled ceiling. A sign reading Arulmigu Swami Iyyappan Shrine hangs on the pillar. A man in a crisp white dhoti and gold necklace stands center-right with hands folded in namaskar, wearing an orange-saffron garment over his shoulders with a gold-and-beaded necklace and gold armlets; he has long swept-back dark hair, a vertical white-and-red tilak on his forehead and a crown-like ornament, and is the appearance-based Swamiji (probable) candidate. Beside him, a bare-chested man with a shaved head, a white vibhuti mark and red and white beaded malas stands in saffron cloth. Around them, saffron-robed men and devotees in white shirts press forward toward a shrine, and a metal railing lines the walkway. A wooden table with a cloth and flowers sits at right.

Photograph inside a temple corridor with tall carved stone pillars and fluorescent lights. A figure in a bright orange saffron robe with an orange head covering walks at the centre, flanked by saffron-clad men wearing orange garments and beaded necklaces. Two uniformed police officers in khaki walk beside them. A man in white holds up a camera and a crowd of devotees in white and red clothing surrounds the procession. A large metal loudspeaker horn is mounted on a pole at left, and yellow signboards hang on the right wall.
