A tall red cloth hangs beside the doorway.2013-06-23A photograph of an indoor hallway with a blue-painted wall and a framed picture above. A bearded man with long swept-back dark hair and a white tilak on his forehead stands at centre, wearing a brown-maroon robe, a dense rudraksha mala, and a long white and yellow garland with red flowers. He smiles and extends his hand toward an older man in a white shirt and cream dhoti, who holds a small silver vessel. Behind them stand a man in orange robes with long hair and rudraksha beads, a man in a pink-striped shirt and white dhoti, and a few other devotees. A white-clad figure in the foreground is partially out of focus. A statue of a figure in a white shirt with a rudraksha garland and orange cloth stands behind the group. Seated at right, a woman in a maroon sari with gold trim sits with folded hands among devotees. In the foreground, a pile of garlands and flower offerings in red, white and orange lies on the floor. In the foreground a man with a white-and-gold floral garland, orange-red shawl, gold armlet and forehead ornament faces right, his face lit by a lamp. Behind him a man in an orange garment and white-and-gold garland stands beside a bare-chested priest with a bow of sacred ash on his forehead. A priest in a red-and-orange shawl and white dhoti holds a brass tray with a flaming oil lamp, while another priest on the right holds a metal plate. Onlookers in white shirts stand in the background near a carved stone wall and metal grille. The setting suggests an aarti or puja at a temple shrine.2012-06-05A photograph of a projection screen in a plain room with white curtains and a window at right.
