Night-time photograph of a man in orange and saffron robes with long, swept-back black hair, gold earrings and a rudraksha-style bead bracelet, leaning forward to adorn a metal deity murti with a garland. The murti wears a decorated crown, white jasmine garlands and a green and gold ornament, and a brass lamp stand with a flame is visible beside it. Behind, a second person in orange and red stands near another decorated figure, and a partially visible man in orange stands at the left edge. The man's appearance with long hair, ornate gold necklaces and saffron clothing is consistent with the page's Swamiji reference, so this is a probable identification based on these cues. He is decorating the murti as part of a puja.2012-07-09 +1 copiesJuly 09 20122012-07-09July 09 20122012-07-09July 09 20122012-07-09July 09 20122012-07-09A long-haired person in an orange-saffron shawl and wrap, wearing heavy gold bead necklaces and gold armlets, a red bindi on the forehead and beaded bracelets, stands at night beside a gilded metal deity murti with a crown and a garland of yellow and magenta flowers. The person's hand is raised toward the murti in a ritual gesture, as an attendant in a white forehead marking and orange garment stands behind. A blurred crowd lies at the lower left against a dark background. Another gilded figure in a maroon garment appears at the right edge.2011-12-20December 23 20092009-12-23A young man in an orange sleeveless top and orange-and-teal dhoti stands at left, lifting a long gold-coloured thread or cord over the head of a metal deity murti. The murti wears a silver crown, a large silver necklace, bangles, a red-and-gold blouse and a pink-and-gold cloth, and white jasmine garlands hang from its shoulders. Behind it are marigold and purple flower garlands and a golden arch, with a copper kalasha-like vessel at left. The scene appears to be a temple ritual decoration or abhishekam-style offering.2009-12-26July 09 20122012-07-09A long-haired man in an orange saffron robe with a white and red flower garland stands at left, reaching toward a black Shiva lingam wrapped in yellow and white flower garlands. Behind it stand two ornately decorated metal deity murtis adorned with gold jewellery, necklaces and crowns, one in a red and green sari. Surrounding them is a dense wall of yellow, orange, pink and white marigold and flower decorations, indicating a temple abhishekam or puja setting at night.2007-01-01December 29 20082008-12-29July 07 20092009-07-07
