A man with long dark hair in a bun, wearing a saffron-orange wrap, rudraksha malas across his chest and arms, and rudraksha bracelets, sits and extends his right hand to bless an elderly man with silver hair and glasses, who wears a white shirt and red-bordered dhoti and has his hands near the blessing figure. A woman in an orange sari with a flower garland kneels beside them with palms pressed together. Behind them an attendant in an orange cloth with a white tilak holds a silver tray of apples and offerings. Other saffron-robed attendants stand nearby, one holding a rudraksha mala and another with a tilak. A framed deity picture hangs on the left wall and yellow curtains hang behind.2014-06-22A seated figure in orange-saffron robes with a long green and white garland and flower strands draped over the shoulders sits on a white-covered raised seat beneath a canopy of marigold and white jasmine garlands. A man in white dhoti and shirt bows low with his head near the floor before the seat, with yellow lemons or limes arranged on a mat at the bottom of the frame. Behind them a woman in a cream sari with gold border holds a microphone and a paper, and another man in white dhoti holds a tray of green leaves. Other seated women in white saris with gold borders and a girl in the background watch. The scene reads as a devotional ritual reception with garlanded offerings and gurupuja-style homage. The seated figure's appearance (long swept-back hair, saffron robes, ornate garland) is a compatible cue, so this is a probable identification.2005-12-25November 25 20142014-11-25A seated figure in an orange saffron robe with long, swept-back dark hair and a garland of yellow flowers and a multicoloured flower-bead garland reaches forward, placing a hand over a red-and-white offering vessel held by a woman in white sari with gold border and a gold-trimmed blouse who kneels with head bowed. Beside her, a man in a white shirt and eyeglasses kneels with palms pressed together in namaste. Behind them, rows of seated and standing devotees in white, including women in white saris and a woman in a yellow shawl wearing rudraksha-style beads, watch the ritual in a hall with a purple wall and a red cloth on the floor.2010-02-15A photograph of a seated figure in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban, garlanded with white jasmine and multicoloured flower garlands, smiling as he touches the forehead of a kneeling elderly person in white clothing with a white shawl.
