A Guru Poornima procession walks along a dirt path lined with palm and tropical trees. A central figure in a saffron-orange robe, with hands pressed together in greeting, wears a long white garland of flowers and walks beneath a large multicoloured ceremonial umbrella with a yellow canopy and fringed tassels. Several other ceremonial umbrellas are visible behind. Around him, men in white dhotis and saffron-orange shawls and women in white saris with orange shawls walk in the procession. A woman in front carries a tray of flowers, and attendants hold long staffs. The scene reads as a devotional ritual procession.
