Annadhan in 20152015-01-01A man in a light pink checked shirt and dark trousers, wearing a blue lanyard with an ID badge, stands in front of a long display of food offerings in brass and gold-toned bowls. Rows of bowls stacked on white-draped tables fill the tented space, covered with rice or sweets on plates. Artificial flower arrangements in tall vases with red, yellow and pink blooms sit among the tiers. A pink and white tent canopy covers the setting.2015-01-13A tiered display of food offerings under a white and purple tent canopy, arranged on stepped white-draped tables. Rows of polished brass and gold-toned bowls fill the upper tiers, many covered with clear plastic wrap. Lower tiers hold many plates of sweets and snacks, some wrapped in cellophane, including colourful candies and fried or pastry items. Red and yellow flower arrangements in tall vases stand among the dishes, and a red carpet lies at the base. At the far left edge, a figure in saffron/orange robes walks past. Possibly an annadan-style food offering display. Visible people: one partially visible figure at the left.2015-01-13July 19 20162016-07-19A photograph of many stainless steel bowls arranged in tiered rows on a red-tiled step in front of dark red velvet drapes. The bowls hold a wide variety of foods, including grains, lentils, sweets, fruits such as pineapples, papayas, lemons, apples, grapes and pomegranates, and cooked dishes. A potted palm stands at the right edge, and a small metal tray sits at the lower left. No people are visible, and the arrangement reflects the 108-item food offering described for the ritual.2006-10-21 +1 copiesJanuary 01 20122012-01-01January 13 20152015-01-13A buffet table set with many stainless steel trays of vegetarian food, including rice, dal, yellow curries, vegetable dishes, raita-like bowls and chopped salad, arranged on a white cloth with a maroon underlay. A woman in a white sari with an orange-red shawl and a beaded necklace serves from the right. Behind her, seated rows of people in white clothes with orange-red shawls sit at round tables decorated with green leaves and tinsel, in a hall with patterned carpet. The scene appears to be an annadan meal serving.2012-12-19 +1 copiesA photograph of a ceremonial shrine decorated with dense white flower garlands edged in magenta and pink blooms, with a framed portrait placed at its centre. A brass oil lamp stands in front of the decorated shrine, and metal vessels and brass pots with offerings sit on a striped mat at left. A standing man in white dhoti and shirt, with hands folded, stands at left, and another person sits partly visible near a lit lamp stand. A tripod-mounted light and a pedestal fan stand to the right of a draped silver curtain. The portrait's subject is not identifiable from appearance, so no identity is asserted.2005-11-11Outdoor photograph of a covered pavilion with a corrugated roof during a festival procession. Along the left, three decorated shrine arches with colourful striped borders stand over tables holding deity murtis, garlands and fruit. On the floor, rows of brass plates are heaped with white and yellow flowers as offerings. A golden ratha-style carrier on a blue wheeled cart sits at the centre. On the right, a man in a white dhoti and a man in saffron-orange robes with a white flower garland stand near the offerings, and a crowd of devotees in white and orange clothing lines the back. Orange flags hang from the roof beams.2006-12-29October 29 20162016-10-29November 17 20172017-11-17
