A person with long dark hair and a white forehead mark stands barefoot on a pale stone platform at night, leaning forward with their forehead pressed against the smooth trunk of a large banyan-type tree with many aerial roots. The person wears a yellow-green dhoti-style garment and a leopard-print shawl with fringed ends, along with a garland of white and yellow flowers around the neck. A flower garland with yellow and purple blossoms is wrapped around the tree trunk at left. Small stone blocks and white pillars are visible in the dark background, with a flowered offering at lower right.2010-12-20December 20 20102010-12-20December 20 20102010-12-20November 05 20102010-11-05A photograph of a single man standing barefoot in a sandy courtyard beside a massive banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots and a low stone-curbed platform around its trunk. He wears an orange-saffron dhoti-style cloth and a leopard-print shawl draped over his shoulders, and a white and red flower garland hangs around his neck. He stands close to the trunk with one hand near it. Behind him are tall white poles, stone blocks and trees in a open grounds area with bright sunlight.2010-10-05A night photograph of a large banyan tree with aerial roots, wrapped with a marigold garland in yellow and orange. In front of the tree stands a single person seen from behind in a light blue robe with a yellow-green shawl draped over the shoulder and white dhoti-style lower garments, standing on a dark paved area beside a raised circular stone platform with a low wall. Dim light falls on the scene, and a few small objects rest near the platform. The figure's head is not clearly visible.2010-07-13A photograph taken at dusk or night of a barefoot figure in orange robes and a rust-red shawl with long dark hair, standing with their back to the camera and embracing or leaning against the massive trunk of a banyan tree with dense hanging aerial roots. Small white flowers lie scattered on the dirt ground at the base of the trunk. A partially visible person in white clothing stands at the far left edge. The figure in orange has long, swept-back hair and a shawl, a person appearance, but the face is not visible. Dim lighting and a sandy clearing surround the tree.2007-02-25A night-time photograph of a large, old banyan tree with thick, spreading aerial roots and wide low branches. At its base stands a circular raised stone platform with a marigold garland of orange and yellow flowers wrapped around the trunk. A single person in an orange-saffron robe with white cloth draped over the shoulders stands at the right side of the tree, facing it, with bare feet on the reddish earth. Small offerings and a tall pole are visible at the edge of the platform.2009-11-16A man in a saffron-orange dhoti and matching shawl with gold border stands at night beside a large banyan tree, his forehead pressed against the trunk and eyes closed in devotion. He wears a long gold-bead necklace, a gold armlet and bangles, and has long dark hair swept back. A street lamp and a few flower arrangements sit in the background. Swamiji (probable): the saffron clothing, long hair, ornate gold necklace and armlet are the qualifying cues for the figure, who is shown in prayerful pose at the banyan tree.2013-07-08Night photograph at an outdoor sacred tree site. A single standing person, seen from behind, wears an orange-red garment with a gold-bordered wrap and has dark hair pulled back. They face a massive banyan-type tree with thick aerial roots and hanging vines, stood on a red carpet runner over sandy ground. A small stone bench and low stone wall surround the tree, with a lamp glowing overhead and a metal railing at right. The figure is a devotee or priest performing a tree worship, not clearly identifiable by appearance, so a person is unsure.2014-08-05December 20 20102010-12-20May 27 20142014-05-27
