Street scene outside a large white gopuram of a South Indian temple, its tiers covered in carved white deity figures. Several people walk along a dusty road: a bald older man in a pink shirt in the foreground, a man in white with a shoulder bag, and two men in saffron/orange robes walking in the middle distance near a red-and-white barrier. A silver minivan with a roof rack is parked at right, and roadside shops and power lines line the street under hazy sky.2011-12-08A tall, tiered gopuram of a South Indian temple dominates the frame, its surface densely carved with stucco figures, niches and miniature shrine motifs in pale grey. Several yellow-and-black auto-rickshaws are parked on a dusty street in front of it, and a few people walk or stand nearby, including men in shirts and trousers and a woman in a red-and-patterned sari. Cars and a bicycle are at the left edge, and small roadside stalls line the right. The sky is pale and overcast.2012-07-081978 - TiruvannamalaiJuly 08 20122012-07-08August 02 20082008-08-02January 03 20182018-01-03Exterior view of a tall, heavily sculpted white-grey stone gopuram, the gateway tower of a South Indian temple, rising in tiers of carved pillars, niches and small domed pavilions to a decorated top with finial pots. The tower's base has a dark doorway. In the foreground, a parked row of white vans and cars, a green-and-white minibus, and a few small roadside stalls face the tower. Several people stand on the dusty ground, including a woman in a yellow sari and a man in dark clothing. A lavender logo sits in the upper left corner. Only a few small figures are visible at the base.2008-08-02September 12 20122012-09-12October 12 20122012-10-121978 - TiruvannamalaiJuly 08 20122012-07-08Low-angle photo looking up at a towering pale stone temple gopuram densely carved with tiers of sculpted figures, deities and niches, against a flat white overcast sky. Carved shrines and pillared windows with lattice screens line the lower facade, and a small bird flies in the upper right. No people are visible.
