A central man with wavy dark hair, a dark beard, a red-orange tilak on his forehead, a rudraksha mala and a small silver earring looks upward with lips parted, bare-chested. Behind him a man in a red and white shawl also holds his hands in prayer. Women in pink and purple saris with red kumkum marks sit in the foreground. The scene appears to be a satsang or puja setting.2018-01-01May 16 20132013-05-16A seated bearded man with long dreadlocked hair, a white tilak on his forehead and a red-orange sannyasi cloth draped over his body, uses a long metal ladle to pour pale pink powder from a silver plate onto the stone floor. A woman in a teal and cream sari with a long beaded necklace kneels beside him, watching closely. Behind them, a group of young men sit on a stone step, some bare-chested in white dhotis with sacred thread, one with an Om symbol painted on his chest. Several more people stand in the background, including figures in saffron and orange clothing, and a small wooden tray with items sits near the plate. The man in red-orange has a distinctive appearance with long swept-back hair and sannyasi robes, but the page only loosely associates a person with this event, so identity is uncertain. The scene appears to be a ritual pouring of powder in an outdoor courtyard.2016-11-11May 12 20132013-05-12September 10 20102010-09-10December 22 20162016-12-22A ritual scene inside a hall with a gold-trimmed altar draped in orange cloth and a tray of apples on a cabinet at right. A bare-chested priest in white dhoti with white and red forehead markings, a gold necklace and a lamp in hand sits at center, facing a gold tray holding apples, pink flowers and lit lamps. Beside him, a woman in white sari with black beaded necklace presses her palms together. A man at left in white dhoti raises a multi-branched brass lamp, while a shaved-headed young man in orange cloth speaks into a microphone. Several people with long dark hair are seen from behind in the foreground. The scene looks like a puja or aarti offering.2010-10-19Photograph of a large seated gathering in a bright hall with red curtains and white-clad devotees behind. In the foreground, several saffron-robed young men sit with palms pressed together in anjali, with white vibhuti-marked foreheads and rudraksha malas; one holds an ornate gold bracelet. Brass vessels and small oil lamps sit on red mats before them. The main foreground figures are monastic disciples, and no figure is clearly identifiable as a person.2013-05-11Devotees seated on a polished floor perform a puja. In the foreground two shaven-headed men in rust-orange dhotis and shawls sit with palms pressed together in anjali mudra, their bodies marked with white sandalwood or ash stripes. The man at centre wears a dark rudraksha mala and a gold chain. Behind them, many bare-chested participants in orange and white cloth sit in prayer. Brass plates hold banana leaves, flowers, a small oil lamp, a brass bowl and incense smoke rises from the floor. Bright interior lighting and a pink chair appear at the edges.2017-01-11
