A gilded shrine niche in a temple holds a golden murti of Shiva seated with Parvati on a blue cloth-draped dais, Shiva holding a trident and a small drum, both adorned with marigold and red garlands and white ceremonial necklaces. Before them sits a shivalinga-style stone form dressed with a white-and-gold shawl, a large bead-and-pendant necklace and a red cloth, surrounded by brass oil lamps. Two standing guardian figures flank the niche: one in red and gold robes with a red turban and the other in a leopard-print top with red dhoti. Green drapery backs the shrine and the whole scene is framed by carved stone pillars.
