A photo of a homa fire ritual in a small temple room with white walls. A yellow brick fire pit holds a bronze bowl with a tall flame, with flower petals and marigold garlands around it. A shaved-headed priest in white dhoti with a gold border sits cross-legged at left, reading from a small book. A woman in a white sari with a red forehead mark sits behind the fire pit, with another person partly visible at right. Behind them is a framed portrait of a woman in orange garments on a garlanded stand, a brass oil lamp, and a white throne-like seat draped with flower garlands. A striped cloth hangs on the wall at top centre.

A homa is performed at a brick fire pit in a temple-like hall. Three priests sit on a striped mat around the burning fire: the man on the left wears a red-and-pink turban, a red-orange rudraksha-style mala, and a white dhoti, and he is feeding items from a woven basket; the man in the centre sits in white with a white shawl and a bead necklace; the man on the right wears a white dhoti, an orange-gold cloth and a bead garland, holding a small item over the flames. A fourth person in white dhoti and white kurta stands in a doorway behind them. Flowers, a brass vessel of ghee, and yellow marigold garlands surround the fire.

A homa in a temple hall: a brick-lined fire pit with a bright flame sits in front of a shrine holding deity murtis under a golden arch and framed in gold. Two figures sit on the floor in white clothes; a bearded priest in a white dhoti and shawl reads from an open book and holds a long ladle, while a second person in white sits cross-legged with a rudraksha mala. Brass oil lamps stand around the fire, and plates of flowers, grains, sweets, fried snacks and fruit are arranged on the floor. Two large deity statues in orange-red saris stand at the back corners, and a framed portrait hangs on the right wall.

Night photograph of a homa fire ritual in a temple courtyard. A large square fire pit lined with brick and white stone blazes with tall orange flames, decorated with scattered red and yellow flower petals. A standing priest in white dhoti and shawl stands at the back holding a ritual object over the fire. To the right, a man with a shaved head, wearing white clothes and gold-coloured beaded necklaces, sits with palms pressed together in prayer. Several other people in white ritual clothing sit around the fire pit, and brass vessels, a bowl of offerings, fruit and flower garlands lie nearby. Brass oil lamps glow, and a ganesha murti stands at right beside a dais of fruit. Multiple people are visible, not a single figure.
