August 22 20112011-08-22A seated figure in saffron-orange robes and a matching orange turban sits cross-legged on an ornate gold throne with a red cushion, wearing layered beaded necklaces, rudraksha-style beads, and bangles. A standing devotee in orange robes and a long-haired bun places a pink-and-white flower garland over the seated figure's head. Behind them is a deep blue cosmic backdrop with a red sun-like motif, with a potted plant and microphone stand at the left edge and a white draped chair at the right. The seated figure has distinctive ceremonial cues consistent with a sannyasi-style presentation, so the appearance-based label applies: a person receiving garlanding from a devotee.2015-07-19A photograph of a ceremony on a flower-decorated seat. A seated figure in yellow clothing, with a yellow turban topped by a jewelled peacock-style crown, wears long red and orange flower garlands, pearl necklaces and pearl waist ornaments, and holds a terracotta plate. A shaved-headed man in orange robes kneels before them and reaches up to touch the seated figure's face.
