A night homa or yagna ritual in a temple-like hall with a tiled canopy and red floor. In the foreground a bare-chested priest in white dhoti with gold border leans over a tiered wooden fire pit (homa kunda), pouring offerings while smoke rises. Beside him another priest in white kneels tending the fire, and a seated man at left holds a small bell or vessel. A white-robed elderly man with shaved head and white shawl stands at center behind the fire. To the right a deity murti is decorated with garlands of yellow and red flowers under a canopy, flanked by tall brass oil lamps and a kalasha. Fruit trays, banana, coconut and flower offerings sit on brass plates at lower left, and hanging ornaments decorate the ceiling.
