August 08 20092009-08-08July 02 20082008-07-02Crowded rainy street scene along a riverside in Haridwar, with dense throngs of pilgrims moving between stalls. Many men and women wear saffron and orange clothing, and several hold black umbrellas or blue plastic sheets against the rain. On the right, colourful stalls display flower garlands, pink and red floral decorations, and tall decorated poles with ribbons. A shirtless man in orange shorts walks on the left, and a woman in a pink headscarf shelters under a blue sheet at right. Overhead tarpaulins and a white canopy line the wet pavement. No single figure in the a person frame is identifiable, and the people shown are not clearly a person; the scene is a general pilgrim crowd.2014-07-21January 07 20062006-01-07A photograph of a crowded market lane in a mountain town with blue tarpaulin awnings overhead and shops selling steel pots, plastic jerrycans, bags and colourful goods on both sides. Several people walk along the paved street; in the centre, two men in saffron-orange robes walk side by side, one with a folded orange shawl over his shoulder and a long dark braid visible, the other wearing an orange robe and carrying a small bag. A woman in a dark top sits at left beside a basket, and a man in a pink shirt carries a white bag. Terraced buildings climb the hillside behind.2008-07-02July 02 20082008-07-02June 30 20082008-06-30July 02 20082008-07-02July 02 20082008-07-02August 12 20122012-08-12A crowded pilgrimage market lane in the hills, with a cloth banner strung overhead bearing multilingual Hindi-style text in dark print over a pink field. Shops on both sides sell colourful beads, strings and religious trinkets. Saffron-clad sadhus and pilgrims mill along the stone path under grey skies. In the foreground a man in a white dhoti and a cap holds up a video camera, while beside him a man in white kurta and orange stole holds a microphone. A bearded elder in an orange shawl and saffron robe stands nearby, and a woman in a red sari and head covering walks at right.2008-07-08July 30 20142014-07-30
