Photograph of a large indoor hall where seated devotees perform a lamp ritual, many holding small lit oil lamps (diyas) aloft in their hands. The men in front wear white dhoti-style cloth with red-and-white bordered shawls and rudraksha malas, seated on the floor before brass plates and offerings. Behind them, rows of spectators sit on mats, many in white and bright saris, with a few children among them. Colourful hanging decorative tassels hang from the ceiling at the top, and a small ornate shrine or seat stands near the back wall. No individual is clearly identifiable as the a person from appearance in this view.

A large crowd of devotees sits on the floor of a temple hall, many wearing white dhoti-style garments with maroon-red borders and rudraksha malas. Most hold lit oil lamps or diyas aloft or near brass plates of offerings, as in a lamp-lighting puja. Several figures in the foreground, including a bald man and a man with glasses, raise flames toward the camera. Brass plates with flowers and small lamps sit on orange cloths in front of them. Behind, more people in white and colourful clothes fill the hall under warm lighting. No single figure is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance.

A large hall filled with seated devotees in a puja or satsang setting. In the foreground, several men in white dhotis with saffron-and-maroon borders sit cross-legged, some with rudraksha-style beads and sacred-thread-like cords, with small brass oil lamps and offering plates before them. Behind them, rows of attendees in white, cream, and colourful clothing sit on mats, many with hands joined or in meditation posture. A man in a white shirt with a lanyard sits near the right. At the back, a red-curtained alcove and a tall decorative stand are visible. No single figure is identifiable as a person by the cues provided, and no candidate with sufficient distinctive presentation is clearly shown.

A large hall with many seated devotees performing a group puja. In the foreground, shaven-headed men in white dhotis with saffron-gold borders sit on mats with hands joined in anjali, some wearing rudraksha malas. Brass oil lamps with lit flames and small brass vessels are arranged on the floor before them. Behind, a wide crowd of seated people, many in white, yellow and red clothing, fills rows separated by white candle-like posts. Tall windows and a red hanging are visible at the back. No single person is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance, so the central figures are described only by role as priests and devotees.

A large hall filled with seated men in white ritual clothing, many with shaved heads, sitting on mats and holding lit oil lamps (diyas) aloft in their hands. Brass plates with offerings, small metal cups and red cloths are arranged on the floor before them. Some wear white dhotis with gold-bordered or red-bordered shawls and rudraksha malas. Behind them, rows of onlookers in colourful clothing stand or sit, and a camera on a tripod is visible at the left edge. This appears to be a group pooja with lamp offerings in a meeting hall.

A large seated congregation holds lit oil lamps during an evening ritual in a hall with a white floor and a red-and-white canopy at the top left. In the foreground, several shaved-headed men in white dhotis with red-bordered cloth and rudraksha malas hold flames and raise them toward the centre. Behind them, rows of devotees sit cross-legged, many with lamps, some with palms pressed together. Women in saris and salwar kameez, and a few Western-looking women in blue and green tops, sit among them. Small brass plates and offerings lie on the floor, and a camera on a tripod stands at the far left. No individual is clearly identifiable as the a person, so the scene is best described as an aarti with oil lamps performed by priests and devotees.

A large crowd of men seated on the floor in an indoor hall during a lamp-lit ritual. Most wear white dhotis and shawls with red-and-maroon or gold borders and rudraksha malas around their necks. Many hold small brass oil lamps or diyas with lit flames, and brass plates with flowers and offerings sit in front of them. Several have vibhuti or tilak marks on their foreheads. The room is dim, with many small flames in the foreground. No single person can be confidently identified as a person from appearance, so the central seated men are described by role as devotees and participants.
