A dense group photograph of many people packed together in a tiered, crowded indoor setting against a plain light wall. Around him, devotees wear dark and casual clothing, including a woman in a teal blue shawl at lower left, a woman in a pale yellow garment at lower centre, a man in white at lower left, and a person in a light blue top at lower right. A man with a shaved head in a saffron-and-red shawl stands at the top right, and several people wear rudraksha-style beads. Many smile or look toward the camera.

A photograph of a projection screen showing a live feed at a satsang hall. On the screen, a man in a maroon top and dark-rimmed glasses speaks with raised hands, in the foreground. Behind him, a group of people in white and beige stand in a bright room with a gold-framed chair at left. A woman in a white kurta with a lanyard stands near the center, and a man in a white kurta holds his hands together. Several seated women and children sit at the lower right, one in a blue sari. A small inset picture at the lower left shows a deity image with a red halo.

A photograph of a projection screen at a satsang, showing a live-feed style image of a room. In the foreground, a man in dark-rimmed glasses and a dark red top gestures with his hand. Behind him, a line of people in white and light clothing stand in a bright hall; a woman in a white outfit and a man in a white kurta and white trousers stand at the centre, while others in tan shirts and dark tops stand and sit to the right. A small inset in the lower left shows a deity murti with a halo. Printed copyright text appears in the lower right of the screen.

A large group photograph of many smiling adults posed closely together indoors at a teachers training gathering. In the front row, a man in a white shirt gives a thumbs-up, a woman in a light blue dress sits beside him, and a woman in an orange salwar kameez wears a rudraksha mala. A man in a black t-shirt with rudraksha beads sits to the right, and a woman in a white saree with pink flowers stands at the far right. Behind them, people in orange, saffron, red and black clothing crowd together; one man in saffron-orange robes with long hair and a shawl stands at left-centre, possibly a sannyasi-style figure, though this is uncertain. To the upper right, a decorated altar with marigold and rose garlands and small lamps is visible. A projection screen hangs in the upper left.

A photograph of a framed screen or monitor displaying an image of a crowd inside an indoor room with white walls and a doorway. Several women in white and pale clothing sit or stand, with a few men in dark clothing in the foreground. Reflections and glare cover the glass. In the lower left corner of the screen is a small inset photo of a seated figure in orange robes, a person candidate depicted in print, though the appearance is too small and uncertain to confirm. Outside the frame, a stack of orange cloth is visible on the right.

A dimly lit hall filled with seated devotees on mats, most dressed in white kurtas and shirts with lanyards and rudraksha-style malas; a few women wear saffron and orange saris, and one man wears a red patterned shirt. Many smile and look toward the front. Large painted banners hang on the walls behind them, and a stage light is visible at top. No identifiable a person figure is visible in the scene.

A large group photograph of about a hundred devotees posed in rows on a stage before a huge printed portrait of a smiling man with long hair and a red bindi. Most men wear white dhotis and white shirts with beaded necklaces; many women wear white saris, while one woman in front wears a red sari. A golden throne-like seat with a red cushion sits centrally, and a woman in orange robes stands near it. Red drapes, colourful patterned pillars and garland-like banners frame the backdrop. Children are seated among the adults.

Large group photograph of a teachers training gathering in a hall with a white projection screen at the top left and a floral garland decoration at the right. Many dozens of people stand and sit close together, mostly in casual and traditional dress: women in saris and salwar kameez in blue, red, pink and cream, men in black t-shirts and white kurtas, and several people wearing rudraksha malas. In the front centre, a woman in orange robes sits cross-legged beside a man in a black t-shirt and white trousers. A man in a white shirt sits at the far left front. A man with long dark hair in an orange garment and a mala stands near the upper left, a possible a person cue based on appearance alone, and this identification is uncertain.

A group photograph of many people gathered indoors in front of a framed painting of a seated saffron-clad figure and a larger poster of a blue meditating figure. A central person in a leopard-print shawl over a saffron-orange robe with a rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold necklace sits on an orange-draped chair, one hand raised. Around them, devotees in white, cream, pink, teal and yellow saris and shirts stand and kneel on colourful woven mats, some holding a baby and a lit brass oil lamp.

December 30 2007

Group photograph on a stage under a silver canopy with a green backdrop bearing a row of circular portrait photos and the partly visible number 2007. A man in a saffron-orange robe with a rudraksha mala stands centre-back, raising one hand, surrounded by around forty devotees in white shirts, kurtas, saris and salwar. Seated in front on a red carpet are men in white and women in white saris and necklaces. A framed painting of a deity pair in a golden frame hangs at right, and a framed red-and-white image at left. Swamiji (probable): the saffron-robed man centre-back with long hair and rudraksha mala matches the candidate cues.

A seated audience fills a carpeted auditorium with rows of blue chairs and white walls. In the foreground, a bald man in an orange robe with a mala sits cross-legged on the red carpet, operating a video camera on a tripod, while microphones and cables lie nearby. Around him, dozens of participants in white kurtas, saris in orange, blue, green and yellow, and light shirts face the front, many smiling. A red bag and a folder rest on the carpet in the lower foreground.
