Indoor ritual scene with a row of boys and young men seated on mats in white dhotis and kurtas, lighting and tending brass oil lamps with flames. Several brass lamp stands and bowls line the mat. A man in an orange cloth with a white forehead band sits at right, and a figure in a green cloth is at far left. A white fly-whisk or chamara rests near a chair. Behind them, other people in white and orange clothing sit in the background, consistent with an aarti or lamp-lighting ritual.2007-10-14February 23 20092009-02-23 +1 copiesNovember 20 20102010-11-20 +1 copiesSeptember 27 20112011-09-27 +1 copiesA large photograph of a seated congregation of men in plain white ritual clothes, many wearing white dhotis and white shirts, some with white cloths over their shoulders and rudraksha malas around their necks. Many hold small lit oil lamps or diyas in their hands, with brass or clay lamps and flower petals scattered on the floor before them. Rows of worshippers fill the hall, with orange and saffron pennant-style banners hanging from the ceiling at the top and a decorated altar with deity murti and lights at the right edge. The setting appears to be a temple-style hall, with the lamps. No single individual is clearly identifiable as a person in the visible crowd.2010-11-12November 07 20102010-11-07 +1 copiesSeptember 24 20112011-09-24A dim hall at night with many lit oil lamps (diyas) in rows, their flames glowing orange in the foreground. Behind them, several people in white clothing sit closely together. Their faces and forms are only partly visible in the warm lamplight, and the scene is dark around the edges.2007-09-17May 21 20122012-05-21September 21 20072007-09-21 +1 copiesMay 08 20122012-05-08 +1 copiesAugust 05 20112011-08-05
