A photograph of an outdoor firewalking ceremony at an ashram courtyard. A fire pit burns with bright orange flames and rising white smoke at centre. Several people in white ritual clothes and a woman in a green-and-white sari stand around the pit; a woman in a red-and-maroon patterned sari and a child in a red shirt are nearby. A person with long dark hair and an orange cloth sits on a white-draped platform at right, with a microphone on a stand. Behind them a seated group of devotees in white clothes sits on blue mats, a white stone shrine with a dark deity murti stands near palm trees, and a white SUV is parked at right. Blue water drums sit at left.

A central figure in saffron-orange robes sits cross-legged before a fire or incense smoke rising into the air. Around him, robed participants in white garments with orange and yellow shawls sit on mats, many with hands folded in prayer. Offerings, a yellow cloth, a small brass pot and a tray are set on the platform. Behind them, a white shrine houses a dark deity murti beneath the flagstaff. Approximately fifteen to twenty people are visible.

Several men in white dhotis and white shirts, some with yellow shawls, sit cross-legged on mats and on the ground around small smoking fire pits, performing a homa. A tall brass-tipped flagstaff and white stone platforms with a deity murti stand in the background. Seated devotees in white shirts and dhotis watch from mats and white plastic chairs at left, one man in a grey striped shirt among them. A man in orange robes sits near the centre-left, and a standing attendant in a light shirt tends the fire at right. Smoke drifts through the palms.

Several devotees in white dhotis and white shawls, some with yellow shawls, sit around smaller fire pits, and a dark deity murti draped with white cloth and a yellow-and-white garland sits on a white plinth at left beside a tall ornate pillar. Outdoor photo of a homa or yagna ritual at an ashram courtyard under coconut palms. Smoke rises from several small fire pits arranged in circles on bare earth. Many devotees sit cross-legged in rows: some in orange or saffron garments, others in white, and a few women in sarees. Behind them stands a tall copper-coloured dhwajasthamba flagstaff with a carved base, beside a white stone platform and a large grey-white Nandi bull statue. A man in a striped shirt walks among the seated devotees. Palms and a small roofed building frame the scene. No clearly identifiable a person appears among the people.

Several men in white dhotis with orange shawls stand at right near white shrine buildings.

A tall tapering copper-coloured ritual pillar with a trident-like finial stands in the background beside a white platform holding a deity murti. Seated devotees in white clothes sit on mats in rows, many with yellow and white shawls, while a man in a light shirt stirs a fire pit with a long tool at right. A single figure in orange robes sits near the centre-left, and a trident stands upright in the foreground.

Outdoor ritual scene in a courtyard of palm trees under a pale dawn sky. A tall wooden flagstaff with a tapering top rises from a white stepped platform at centre. Around it, small circular fire pits are set in the ground, with smoke rising from several at right. Many people sit cross-legged on the earth in white clothes with yellow shawls, some wearing red scarves. Two seated figures near the foreground wear saffron-orange robes. Stone sculptures and a dark deity murti stand near the platform. A flat copper-topped pedestal sits in the foreground. This appears to be a homa or yagna gathering, though the exact rite is not clear.
