Two stacked silver-coloured metal plates hold a mound of cooked white rice flecked with dark seeds and topped with a single red flower petal. To the right a plate holds yellow-tinted rice. The hand holds a small pinch of the yellow mixture, palm up. The bowl has embossed floral and arched patterns on its rim. Behind, a blurred figure in a yellow garment with a red sash and a purple backdrop suggests a ritual setting, but no face or identity is clear.2014-12-28A photograph of a food offering spread on a red cloth in a temple or ashram setting. Steel bowls hold white rice with vegetables, a yellow-orange tempered rice dish, a pale creamy porridge-like dish, and crisp fried snacks. Two red apples, a coconut and a plate of green betel or leaves sit at left. Behind the food are brass and silver vessels, a small ritual tray, a silver lamp, incense sticks in a cup, and a folded orange cloth. A person in white garments is partly visible at top left, so the scene is an offering arranged before a ritual.2010-11-12January 07 20192019-01-07 +1 copiesClose view of a wide silver-toned metal plate heaped with cooked white rice on an orange cloth.
