Many hold thin decorated sticks raised in both hands, a dandiya-style dance for Navaratri. Most wear orange and saffron saris and skirts, with one woman in a green and checked outfit and another in a blue skirt. A girl in a pink dress and red leggings and a woman in a white dress move among them. Shelves and framed pictures line the walls, and a camera on a tripod is visible at the right edge.2016-10-03A photograph of a crowded indoor hall with white walls and open windows with curtains. Many women and some men in traditional white and cream dhotis and saris with yellow, orange and red shawls and stoles are gathered, several clasping their hands in anjali greeting and embracing one another. A woman in the centre wears an orange sari and folds her hands together, while a man on the right in a cream dhoti and red shawl bows his head. An elderly person in cream clothing bends forward in the lower centre. The scene suggests a devotional gathering or satsang among devotees, with no clearly identifiable a person figure visible.2011-03-05December 14 20062006-12-14October 03 20162016-10-03A photograph of women and girls dancing in a hall with a tiled ceiling and fluorescent lights during a Navaratri dance, many holding short wooden sticks raised overhead. In the foreground a woman in an orange and gold sari with a flowing orange shawl turns while raising a stick. Others wear pink, magenta, green and white saris and salwar outfits, and a few wear orange and gold dresses. A carved white wooden horse-like ornament stands at left, with wall paintings and a red curtain on the back wall. No a person figure is visible.2016-10-03
