Photograph of an outdoor ritual gathering. Many devotees sit on mats in rows facing a raised stage with a decorated shrine and a golden deity murti under an ornate canopy. Several women in saffron and orange saris and men in orange and maroon clothing sit cross-legged; some have long dreadlocked hair. A priest in a maroon garment sits near a brass puja setup with oil lamps, flower garlands and a steel plate. A figure in a dark robe sits on a gold throne with a red cushion at the right edge, with a gold-tasselled umbrella overhead. Brass oil lamps and marigold garlands are placed in front of the attendees. Green and foliage-filled plants and red-and-white striped pillars frame the scene.2016-08-12A seated audience listens to a discourse on a red carpeted outdoor stage. In the foreground, a long-haired sannyasi with dreadlocks, bare-chested and wearing rudraksha malas and orange cloth, sits facing away on an ornate carved wooden seat, while another long-haired figure in orange robes sits nearby. Young women in orange and saffron garments with flower adornments sit on the carpet. Behind them, devotees in white kurtas, saris and dark clothing sit on white chairs, and a cameraman operates a tripod-mounted camera. Hanging banners and an ornate table draped in red appear at the back of the setting.2017-12-15A photograph of a seated discourse on a decorated stage. A man with long swept-back hair and a beard wears an orange-saffron robe with a tilak on his forehead and sits cross-legged on a white throne-like seat with red cushions, a microphone stand before him. Probable Swamiji appearance: long swept-back hair, saffron robe and a visible sacred mark, seated as the central speaker. Around him, a group of young women with long braided hair in white and orange garments sit close to the platform, and a large seated audience in white, teal and orange clothing faces the stage. Gold drapery, a golden backdrop with a patterned panel, brass kalasha-style lamps and a trident-topped vessel frame the stage.2017-12-15A photograph of a large open-air ceremony under a white tent. In the centre, a richly decorated throne with a golden arch is draped in orange and yellow marigold garlands, with a seated figure in the centre, a deity murti. Several priests in white dhotis, some bare-chested, perform rites at a low platform with brass lamps and kalasha-style vessels, while a man in a purple sash stands nearby. Foreground devotees sit facing the altar, many wearing white clothes with red-orange shawls draped over their shoulders. Golden poles with orange and yellow banners frame the scene.2015-07-17KAILASA OHIO, USA On 11/10/20242024-11-10 +1 copiesNovember 26 20162016-11-26December 15 20172017-12-15December 15 20172017-12-15January 01 20122012-01-01A seated discourse session in an open outdoor pavilion with white chairs bearing red sashes and a tripod-mounted camera at upper left.
