Close photo of a bare-shouldered man with wet, slicked-back black hair bowing his head at the water's edge, smiling, during a river bathing rite. He wears a rust-red wrap draped over one shoulder and a heavy multi-strand necklace of golden-toned beads and rudraksha seeds, with matching beaded bracelets on his wrist and upper arm. Water drips down his face and shoulder; the blurred river and other bathers in orange and red cloth are behind him. The distinctive gold-and-rudraksha ornamentation and long dark hair are visible cues, but the page does not place this event with a person, so identity is uncertain.2016-04-22December 19 20152015-12-19A photograph of a man standing waist-deep in shallow water, bending forward and cupping water in both hands as it pours through his fingers. He wears a rust-red ochre robe, multiple strands of rudraksha mala around his neck and rudraksha bracelets on his wrists and upper arms, with a long braid down his back and a white and red tilak on his forehead. Behind him, bare-chested men in white dhotis with gold borders stand in the water. The scene suggests a river or sacred bathing ritual. Whether the man in front is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance alone.2018-04-28December 19 20152015-12-19April 04 20132013-04-04 +1 copiesApril 22 20162016-04-22December 19 20152015-12-19April 28 20182018-04-28 +1 copiesMay 05 20132013-05-05June 22 20122012-06-22 +2 copiesPhotograph of a large crowd standing waist-deep in a river during a ritual bath. In the centre foreground a man with short dark wavy hair, wearing a maroon-brown cloth draped over his shoulder, heavy gold necklaces, a gold armlet and gold bangles, stands in the water with a small red tilak on his forehead. Around him people in white and saffron or maroon dhotis and shawls, many wearing gold-coloured necklaces and rudraksha-style malas, stand in the water; some carry red and white flower garlands. Behind them spectators in yellow and white clothing and people holding cameras and phones watch from the bank.2016-05-21June 28 20142014-06-28 +1 copies
