A photograph inside an orange-draped tent. A man in an orange-brown turban, orange-brown robe, gold waist sash and gold armband stands at left, smiling and extending his hand over a prostrate devotee in orange robes lying on the floor. Behind them, several saffron-robed men stand, including a bald man with a rudraksha mala, a bearded man with orange tilak, and an older man in an orange turban and purple shawl. A gilded throne with a tiger-skin cushion is partly visible at left. The standing figure in orange-brown, with his distinctive gold ornaments, fits the appearance cues associated with a person, shown in person giving blessing during a satsang-style ceremony.2013-02-12A photograph inside an orange-draped tent with orange fabric walls and a gold-coloured ornamental staff visible behind. On the left, a man with long dark hair, a saffron turban and a saffron shawl, wearing gold armlets and a gold necklace, smiles while reaching toward a bald man in saffron robes with a rudraksha mala who has his eyes closed and head bowed. Beside them a bald attendant in saffron stands with a mala, and another bald man in saffron reaches in from the right. At far right, an elderly bearded man in a yellow turban and purple shawl sits with his palms pressed together. Several other people in saffron and grey stand in the background. A ceremonial initiation or blessing setting is suggested, with a purple cushion in the foreground.2013-02-12Outdoor evening gathering under a white tent canopy in front of a colourful multicoloured patterned backdrop. A man in an orange turban, bare-chested under a light rust-coloured shawl, with long dreadlocked hair, clasps hands with a bearded man in orange robes wearing a rudraksha mala and a forehead tilak. To the left, a smiling bald man in glasses wears a rust shawl and a gold ceremonial necklace. On the right, a man in an orange shirt with glasses stands with palms pressed together in greeting. A red patterned rug lies on the ground.2016-05-07Outdoor photo under a yellow-and-white canopy at an assembly of saffron-clad sadhus. A tall man with long dark dreadlocks, an orange-brown turban, a saffron-brown robe and gold necklaces and bangles reaches forward with his right arm to touch or bless the crown of a seated elder in orange robes and a yellow turban, who has a flower garland. Behind them stand bearded men in orange and red robes, a man in a yellow turban, a bald man in glasses, and a cameraman filming with a video camera. A man in white at left holds a silver-rimmed drum and a red and gold garment. Another seated elder with a white beard and rudraksha beads sits at lower right. The Swamiji candidate is a probable match: the tall man has long swept-back dreadlocks, a turban, distinctive gold ornaments and an orange-brown robe, but the identification is based on appearance only.2016-04-23February 12 20132013-02-12February 12 20132013-02-12Evening photograph under a large white tent with a green carpet, where saffron-clad sannyasis and devotees gather. In the centre, a man with a long swept-back black braid, a saffron turban, a gold chain and an orange-saffron wrap stands in an open-chested pose with gold armbands, facing a bald man in a red-and-gold dhoti holding a rudraksha mala and a bearded man in a cream kurta with a yellow turban. The centre figure has a plausibly distinctive presentation, so this is a person candidate in person. At right, a bearded man in saffron robes and a rudraksha mala presses his palms together. Low wooden tables with marigold garlands and offerings sit in the foreground, with more people seated along the background.2016-05-08Photograph under an orange-and-white tent at an outdoor religious gathering. Brass plates with flowers, fruit and sweets rest on the golden-cloth tables in front of them.2016-05-06April 22 20162016-04-22A photograph of a sitting man in an orange-brown robe and an orange-red turban, with a rudraksha mala and a long gold ceremonial necklace, smiling as a bearded man in a pale saffron robe bends forward to touch his hand. Beside them, an elderly bearded man in pale saffron sits on a red cushion and a bearded man in white and orange stands at the back, with several other onlookers in white shirts and orange garments in a tent-like setting. Gold armbands and bangles are visible. The scene suggests a respectful greeting or blessing among sadhus at a gathering.2016-04-21A photograph inside an orange tent during a ceremonial gathering. On the left, a standing man with long dark hair, a rust-coloured turban and sash, bare arms with gold bangles and a gold belt, extends his right hand toward a bearded older man in the centre. Behind them, a shaved-headed man in orange and a golden canopy or palanquin fitting appear, along with several men in saffron, orange and pink robes and turbans, one wearing a brown vest. Several people stand close, watching the exchange with attentive expressions.2013-02-12
