A photograph of a riverside ghat with sandy steps above a wide river, where a group gathers in a ritual setting. In the foreground, a figure with a red-and-gold turban and orange-red clothing sits on a small red rug holding a long metal trident, with a marigold garland around the neck. Nearby, several shaved-headed men in orange and maroon robes sit and stand on the steps, and a figure in an orange robe faces the group from behind. Seated devotees in white and red shawls, including women in saris, fill the middle of the steps. A photographer with a camera and a video camera stands on the right. Moored boats and a small red canopy sit on the water's edge in the background.

Aerial photograph of a wide river ghat in Varanasi on the Ganges, with a broad stone-paved steps area and a row of moored wooden boats along the water's edge. Around a dozen people in white clothing walk and gather across the stone plaza, some on the steps near the bottom left. A tall floodlight pole stands at right beside a stepped descent to the river, and a sandbank stretches along the far shore under hazy skies. The scene shows routine ghat activity rather than any identifiable individual.

Outdoor ghat steps beside the Ganges in Varanasi, with a wide hazy river and sandbank behind. A shirtless man in a white dhoti and white shawl walks down the stone steps with his arms outstretched, flanked by a cameraman filming and a man in white steadying him by the arm. To the right, several men in saffron and orange robes and rudraksha malas stand on the steps, including a bald man in orange near the top. A red brick wall, a small open kiosk pavilion and a cameraman on a tripod are in the background. Two visible persons appear in the scene; an older man in orange and a man in white are on the right edge.

Outdoor ghat steps descending toward a wide, pale sandy riverbank and a broad river under hazy sky. In the foreground, a man in a dark red-maroon turban decorated with white flower garlands and an orange marigold garland faces away, one arm raised, near a figure in maroon and orange robes with a rudraksha mala. Several devotees in white and pink clothing climb or lean forward on the stone steps, one bending low in greeting. Other sannyasi-style figures in maroon and gold-bordered robes stand nearby, and a photographer in white with a camera is at right. A pink canopy and white tents line the far riverbank.

Photograph of a group walking down a stone ghat steps beside a wide, pale river in Varanasi, with a small boat carrying passengers on the water and a red and white cloth canopy at left. A man in white kurta and trousers walks at front, followed by several people in rust-orange and maroon robes with rudraksha malas and garlands, and women in white and cream saris. A bald-headed man in orange-maroon robes is prominent in the foreground. A few children and onlookers stand on the steps, and a concrete pillar with a yellow sticker is at right.

Dusk on a wide river with a hazy grey sky and a city skyline lit with scattered lights along the far bank. Along a stone-paved ghat in the foreground, a group of about ten people in saffron and maroon robes walk toward the water carrying bags, some with orange cloth bundles. A man in white walks among them. Two small boats with passengers drift on the river, and a lone figure stands near steps on the left.

Photograph of a group walking along a stone riverside ghat on a hazy morning, with a large beige parasol and wooden poles on the steps and boats moored along the water's edge. Several women in deep orange-red saris with rudraksha mala necklaces walk in the foreground, one with a shaved head and orange forehead mark, and a man in white kurta with a white mala stands beside them. Others in white and blue garments walk behind, while onlookers in shirts and a plaid shirt watch from the left. A few bathers are visible in the river.

A photograph taken from a stone stairway above the Ganges riverfront in Varanasi, looking down toward the water. In the foreground, two men stand with their backs to the camera: the figure on the left is bare-chested with a shaved head and rudraksha beads and gold-toned bangles, and the figure on the right wears an orange-saffron shawl over the shoulder with long, wavy dark hair and rudraksha malas. Beside them is a tall wooden pole on a red-and-cream striped stone base. Below, boats lie along the misty river, people walk and bathe on the ghat steps, and a cameraman in a red top films the scene at right.
