December 15 20162016-12-15A floor rangoli on bare ground, arranged as a large symmetrical flower design with a central lotus-like medallion of red rose petals and green leaves, ringed by bands of yellow marigold strings. Teal-green painted petal shapes and white chalk outlines surround the centre, with scattered red petals, orange blooms and a small blue flower. No people are visible in the frame, and the design occupies the whole image.2009-12-26A photograph of a floor rangoli on a light tan brick-paved courtyard. The floral mandala is made of yellow and white flowers. Pointed red and pink petal shapes radiate outward, with pink lotus-like forms at the edges and loose yellow blossoms scattered around the border. A yellow cloth and a partly visible person's feet appear at the top edge. No people are prominent in the frame, and no readable text appears in the image.2016-12-15December 27 20092009-12-27A photograph of a colourful rangoli floor design drawn on dark earth with white chalk and filled with blue, green and magenta powder. The symmetrical floral mandala has a central eight-petal flower, layered star and petal shapes, and curling white scroll motifs around its outer edge. At the upper right, the white sari hem and bare foot of a standing person are partly visible, but no full figure appears. The rangoli suggests a festive or ritual setting.2006-12-31December 31 20082008-12-31December 02 20092009-12-02A colourful floor kolam, a geometric rangoli drawn on bare ground at night, dominates the frame. Interlocking star and swastika-like motifs in purple, teal, red, blue, lime green and yellow are outlined in white powder, with flower-shaped petals between them. A pale stone pedestal or step sits at the top edge. No people are visible, and the page's a person reference does not show anyone in this image.2008-01-01December 31 20082008-12-31December 15 20162016-12-15December 31 20062006-12-31A white rangoli kolam drawn in powdered chalk on a grey stone floor, forming an intricate interlaced geometric pattern with loops and petals arranged in concentric rings. At the centre, a cluster of yellow marigold petals and a red flower surrounds a small red-and-maroon blossom, with scattered yellow flowers and red petals around the outer edge. No people are visible; the scene is a floor design only.2009-12-16
