Several priests wear turbans, rudraksha malas, and gold necklaces, and one stands bare-chested with his hands folded. A woman in a purple sari in the foreground holds a brass plate of marigold petals and red flowers, with steel bowls and green limes arranged on a table. A seated group of devotees in saris and kurtas, including women in gold and blue saris, watches the ritual on a patterned mat. A bare-chested priest in a white dhoti and sacred thread stands at right, holding a ritual implement over a long table laden with fruit, sweets, steel vessels and flower-garlanded brass plates. Along the back, rows of black stone deity murtis adorned with white and orange garlands sit on red-cushioned platforms.
