A seated figure on a gold ornate throne in a temple hall is receiving a pratyaksha padapuja. The seated person wears a gold crown, a yellow-and-white garland, a red and white embroidered top and a red shawl, with a hand raised in blessing. Flower garlands of yellow and pink blossoms drape a gold platform in front, with a brass plate, kalasha-style vessel and incense. Devotees in front wear saffron and white robes; one bare-chested devotee with white body markings and rudraksha beads sits at right with hands raised. Tiered brass lamps with oil lamps line the background, and gold deity murtis and a purple draped altar appear behind. The central figure wears a red robe and a multi-strand orange-gold garland, with a red tilak on the forehead and long dark hair; the appearance suggests a probable Swamiji (probable), seated in person as the presiding figure. Five people in white and cream ritual dhotis and saris sit on the floor around the throne, several holding small brass vessels and plates; one woman wears a yellow shawl and another a pink cloth. Tall brass lamps with lit flames stand on either side, and orange cloths lie on the floor in front of the dais, with plates and offerings nearby. A deity murti is depicted in the backdrop.2011-01-25
