Outdoor ceremony under trees with a crowd of devotees standing behind a stone-paved area. In the centre, a man in a maroon turban with a crescent-moon ornament stands with palms pressed together in prayer, wearing a pink-and-white flower garland, a dark brown rudraksha-style mala, layered gold necklaces and gold bangles, with a maroon dhoti. Behind him are devotees in orange and saffron robes, a man in white with a shawl, and women in saris. A large brass oil lamp with a tall stem stands in the left foreground, with scattered flower petals on the stones. A person at left holds a bundle of yellow flowers. The scene suggests a puja or padapuja honouring a guru.2016-12-03A man with a full dark beard and a rust-red turban stands with palms pressed together in namaste in front of a tall gold flagpole during a temple dvajarohanam flag-hoisting. He wears a dense red and white rose-and-pearl garland, layered gold necklaces, a gold pendant, gold bangles and a rust-brown cloth. A small red tilak marks his forehead. Behind him, bare-chested attendants in orange-striped white dhotis pull ropes and raise the flag. Green leaf bundles hang from the top of the pole.2016-12-14December 03 20162016-12-03December 03 20162016-12-03December 03 20162016-12-03December 12 20162016-12-12December 23 20162016-12-23December 03 20162016-12-03December 14 20162016-12-14A central bare-chested man in a leopard-print turban and a long dark plait stands in a procession under a canopy strung with red, yellow and white tassels. Behind him, several devotees in saffron-orange robes and orange turbans stand with hands folded in namaste, some with tilaka and vibhuti marks. A shaved-headed devotee with braids and a second with long dreadlocks are visible on the left, and a decorated palanquin or ornamented object appears at the right edge.2017-08-25 +1 copiesOutdoor photograph at a temple-like courtyard with palm trees. A bare-footed man in a rust-red robe and red-and-gold garlanded necklace stands with palms pressed together in anjali, eyes closed, a long dark mala and a large gold pendant on his chest. Long dark hair falls past his shoulders and he wears a red tilak on his forehead. Behind him a man in white dhoti and shawl holds a long white-and-gold ceremonial umbrella, and another man in a saffron cloth with a rudraksha mala stands near. Several people in white and orange attire stand on the right, and women in orange and red saris with hands folded are visible on the left.
