In the centre, a smiling man with long swept-back dark hair wears a rust-orange dhoti-style cloth with a gold-banded border, a gold necklace of large beads and a long rudraksha mala, and raises one hand in greeting. Figures in saffron-orange robes walk around him, some holding a yellow parasol and ornate saffron flags with embroidered emblems. Behind, a line of people in orange robes moves up the steps, and on the right a man in white dhoti and shawl holds a long umbrella pole. A bald priest in orange stands at the lower left. The scene reads as a ceremonial procession. Swamiji (probable) is the smiling man in the centre, identified by his swept-back hair, rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold necklace.2013-04-25February 13 20132013-02-13November 16 20152015-11-16Outdoor procession on a dusty ground with many saffron-robed sadhus and devotees, most with white-smeared shaven heads and bodies, some holding brass horns and staffs. Orange flags on poles rise behind them, and a tall umbrella-like canopy stands overhead. In the centre, a man with long dark hair, a white forehead band and a rudraksha mala walks with arms raised, wearing a dark red-brown robe with gold border and gold necklace; a person candidate by appearance, though the visible cues are limited. Around him, shaved-headed boys and men in orange and red garments walk barefoot, and a small child in pink robes appears at right.2013-07-22January 12 20172017-01-12Outdoor photograph of a large group of shirtless men in saffron-orange dhotis on wide stone steps with red-painted risers, the stepped bank of a ghat-like structure under a clear sky. In the foreground a bare-chested young man with a rudraksha-style mala and white-streaked face raises both hands and shouts, while another man beside him stands with arms raised. Behind them many participants stand on the steps, some pouring or changing clothes, some wearing malas and white-marked foreheads. The men on the steps appear to be devotees in ritual attire; no clearly identifiable a person figure is evident among them.2018-12-22A procession of many people walks along a dusty dirt road in front of a red-brick building under an overcast sky. Many marchers wear saffron and orange robes and have white-painted or ash-smeared bodies, with bare shaved heads. Some hold long brass trumpets and raised staffs, and a tall trident-topped staff is visible. A large ornate parasol with a white canopy rises above the group, and many orange flags wave in the air. Several men in white shirts walk at the right edge near a vehicle, and a young man in a white shirt watches on the far right. Raised hands and joyful movement suggest a festival or ritual procession.2013-07-22July 01 20132013-07-01November 09 20162016-11-09
