December 29 20102010-12-29December 12 20072007-12-12Outdoor procession on a reddish dirt path with grass patches. At the centre, a long-haired man in a saffron-orange robe with a dark rudraksha mala walks smiling, a candidate for Swamiji (probable) by appearance cues. Around him, men in white kurtas and white dhotis wear red-and-gold shawls and lanyard badges. One man in white holds a brass vessel with green leaves on a red tray, while another carries a round blue-and-orange ceremonial fan. A man at right grips a tall blue pole. Behind them stand more people and orange flags on white poles.2005-07-21Outdoor photograph on a dusty dirt path with dry scrub and trees behind. A barefoot man in an orange robe, orange head wrap, and a beaded orange garland walks at the centre, smiling, with a devotee in white holding his arm. Around them, many men in white dhotis and kurtas, some with orange or red shawls and rudraksha-style malas, walk in a procession. Behind them, orange and red parasols or umbrellas are carried, and a man at right holds a tray or offering. A small building with a tin roof sits in the background.2007-02-06Outdoor street procession on a dirt road between white two-storey buildings with orange trim, flags and a banana plant. A central figure with long dark hair wears an orange saffron robe, a rudraksha mala and a white flower garland, walking barefoot and raising a hand in blessing. Beside him an attendant in orange robes carries a tray with offerings. Around them men in white dhotis and shirts, some with folded hands, press close on both sides, and a few older men with white hair and white clothes stand at the right.2008-07-28December 29 20102010-12-29January 08 20122012-01-08Outdoor photo on a dusty dirt ground with trees and a bush behind a wire fence. A central figure in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, with long swept-back hair, rudraksha mala beads and bangles, walks barefoot and looks ahead; the appearance cues are distinctive, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) figure in procession. Beside him a man in a white dhoti holds a tray of yellow flowers, and a woman in a blue sari carries a bag. Other devotees in white dhotis, shirts and a red-shirted boy stand around with hands folded, and a stone-coloured jacketed man stands at left. Several people are visible, roughly a dozen.2011-12-09A photograph of a rural footpath through scrubby grass and shrubs under an overcast sky, with a palm tree and large boulders at right. A man with long dark hair and a flowing orange robe walks barefoot in front on the right, wearing sandals and a saffron wrap over one shoulder. Beside him a balding man in a plain white shirt and white dhoti walks in the centre, and a younger man in white kurta and dhoti walks just ahead. Behind them several men in orange robes follow in a line, some carrying orange-tipped staffs or flags. The leading orange-robed figure has long hair and a shawl-like wrap, and the appearance cues are visible but not conclusive, so identity is uncertain.2006-09-16Outdoor photograph of a procession on a dirt path shaded by trees, with a white-walled building behind. In the centre, a man in saffron-orange robes wears a long white-and-red flower garland and walks forward, beside a figure in white dhoti and an orange shawl. Behind them, a group of people in white and orange clothing carries ceremonial staffs and walks in line. A man in orange and a woman in green stand further back near the building. A white banner with printed text hangs on the building wall. Visible people include about twenty participants, and a few more are partly obscured by foliage.2007-12-25December 29 20102010-12-29December 29 20102010-12-29
