A seated group of devotees eats a meal served on large green banana leaves on a bare concrete floor at night. Men in white dhotis and shirts and women in a red-and-orange sari and a maroon sari wear flower garlands of white jasmine and red blossoms. Rows of guests sit along the floor, with more people standing in the dim hall behind. Behind them, large portrait photographs of a woman in white hang on a wall beside white metal scaffolding and a deity shrine area. Plates hold rice and curries, with small glasses of water set beside each leaf.

Many participants sit cross-legged in rows on white cloths, eating from green banana leaves set with rice, curries and side dishes, with small white cups and water bottles along the line. Most men wear white kurta or dhoti-style clothes with red-orange shawls draped over their shoulders, and several women wear saris and salwar in pink, yellow and red. Behind them, framed photographs stand on a long table and a man in white and orange moves through the room. Several people are eating with their right hands. The scene is an annadan-style community meal.

Behind them hang large posters of smiling figures, one showing a figure with long hair in a red-and-white shawl playing a drum, and another showing a figure with a red bindi and a flute. A blue information stand and folding white chairs stand nearby.
