A central figure in an orange saffron robe with long dark hair stands holding a walking cane, facing a group. Around him are about six people in white dhoti and kurta clothing with saffron/orange shawls draped over their shoulders, some with long hair, and an older man in white with a rudraksha mala. A row of people in white stands at the left edge. Brick edging and a stacked brick pile are visible in the background, with more people milling beneath the thatched shelters.2006-10-07October 07 20062006-10-07A photograph of a dusty open ground at a temple-style ashram compound, with whitewashed buildings behind. In the centre, a smiling man wears an orange saffron robe, an orange head wrap and sandals, carrying a small cloth bag; a person candidate with distinctive saffron and turban cues, though appearance is uncertain. Beside him a woman in a light blue sari carries a book. A bearded man in a white shirt and white dhoti in the foreground holds a small camera and a notebook. Other devotees in white kurtas and saris, plus a man in a dark jacket, follow behind, with hills in the distance.Outdoor photo at an ashram compound with a dirt path, low brick planters and a thatched-roof hut at left. A man in a long orange robe with a swept-back head of long dark hair stands at right, smiling and holding a steel cup, leaning on a walking stick; he is a probable Swamiji by appearance. Four men in white ritual clothes and white shirts stand in a group facing him, laughing and conversing, one with a rudraksha-style mala visible. Behind them, a line of devotees in white and pale clothes stands along the path, and a person in orange moves at right. A cream two-storey building with red roof edging and a water tank stands in the background.2006-10-07Outdoor photo on a dirt path at an ashram-like site under an overcast sky, with palm trees and thatched-roof huts behind. A line of devotees stands along the path: a man in a striped shirt and white dhoti at left, a girl in a yellow embroidered top in the foreground, a girl in a pink dress and a woman in a pale pink sari in the middle, and women in white salwar kameez and white clothing further right. A man in a white shirt and khaki trousers holds a folder, and at far right a man in white with an orange shawl stands near a parked white car. Gravel and construction materials lie at the edges.2006-10-08Outdoor photo of a group of people standing along the white-washed wall of a low thatched-roof building under a clear sky. Most wear white ritual-style clothing; one man in front wears a cream sweater over white and another wears a blue shirt. A woman in a red-and-blue sari stands near the right, and a few people hold small objects. Bare dirt ground, scattered wooden planks and a utility pole with wires are in view. No one is identified as the a person in this scene.2006-12-28A group walks along a dirt path beside a whitewashed building with a thatched roof, under an overcast sky with trees behind. A bare-chested man in a white dhoti and beaded necklaces walks in the foreground on the left. Behind him, several people in saffron and orange robes and white kurtas follow. A woman in a red sari with long dark hair walks at centre, and a woman in a yellow sari stands nearby. A figure in orange robes with long swept-back hair and a beaded necklace walks at centre, with a red-and-orange-clad companion beside him; the swept-back hair and saffron robes are compatible cues, but the appearance is not distinctive enough to confirm identity. On the right, a man in a white shirt and dark trousers stands beside a wooden structure.2007-08-09A photograph of a group gathered on a dirt path in front of a thatched-roof white building with blue doors and a small fence. A figure in a bright orange dhoti with long, dark, uncovered hair and a bare chest stands at left, pointing toward the group.
