Beside him a man in white dhoti with an orange shawl holds a silver pot and a flower-filled plate, and other men in white clothes and orange shawls stand behind. A saffron flag with a flower garland hangs at right, and a crowd gathers in the background.2006-12-23October 01 20062006-10-01October 01 20062006-10-01Outdoor photo on a dirt path beside a whitewashed wall and green trees. A man with white hair and white dhoti, bare-chested with a white cloth at his waist, holds a lit flame on a brass plate toward a younger man. That younger man has long dark hair, wears a saffron-orange robe and a rudraksha mala, and is garlanded with a long white and red flower garland. He smiles. Around them, people in white dhotis and saffron-orange shawls stand close, with children watching at left and a person holding a brass tray above the crowd at upper right. A probable Swamiji cue is his long hair and saffron robe with rudraksha mala, in the role of the garlanded man receiving aarti. The crowd is roughly fifteen to twenty people.2008-08-02Outdoor photograph of a long-haired man in an orange saffron garment with a gold ceremonial necklace, holding a silver lamp with a burning flame over a black lingam decorated with yellow flowers, coconuts and leaves on a round platform. Around him stand a group of about ten to twelve children and boys in casual clothes, some in plaid shirts and one girl in a peach dress, watching attentively. A white-clad attendant holds a basket of coconuts at left. A small white statue stands on a hill in the background under a pale sky.2006-10-01Photograph taken on a sandy embankment with grass beyond, the image rotated on its side. A man with long swept-back black hair, bare-chested under an orange saffron shawl, wears a thick gold necklace and a gold bracelet and stands at left looking downward. Several children and a few adults stand behind him, some in green, red and black clothes, watching closely. At right, a person in orange robes is seen from behind, reaching toward him. Some of the figures appear to be holding objects.2006-10-01Outdoor photo of a village street lined with trees and a plastered wall. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes, wearing a rudraksha mala and a large white and orange flower garland, stands smiling with his palms raised. An older man in white clothes and an orange-yellow waist cloth holds a brass plate with a lit flame, performing aarti. Around them stand devotees in white kurtas, saffron shawls and dhotis, plus women and children, including a girl in a blue school uniform with hands folded. A man in the upper right raises a brass plate. Several onlookers in the background watch the ceremony.2008-08-02November 14 20052005-11-14Outdoor photo on a rocky hilltop of a black stone Shiva lingam set on a dark yoni pedestal, with a green leaf placed on it during ritual worship. A man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, gold necklace and gold bangle, gestures toward the lingam with his right hand. Behind him, a man in orange holds a tray of coconuts. Men and women in white and orange ritual clothes stand on the rock and nearby, some with brass plates of offerings and hands in anjali.2006-10-01A man in a saffron-orange robe and a long gold bead necklace with a pendant stands at the right, long dark hair swept back, holding a silver bowl and an ornate silver arati lamp with a lit flame over a group of seated devotees. Several seated women in saris, shawls and jewellery sit with hands pressed in anjali, while men stand against a white wall behind them with framed landscape art and hanging greenery. The scene is an arati offering inside a meeting hall. Swamiji (probable): the robed figure with long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and gold necklace is performing the arati, which fits the page's description of Maha Arathi.2006-05-21May 22 20062006-05-22
