Behind the crowd hangs a yellow draped backdrop. Men in white dhotis and white shirts stand and serve food on plates, while many seated people in white, cream, red and green saris and clothes sit on the ground eating from leaf or paper plates. A man in a light turquoise shirt stands to the right and a person in orange sits in the centre background. Many devotees sit on the bare ground in white clothes, eating from metal plates and steel bowls. Men wear white shirts and dhotis; women wear white saris and salwar kameez, and a girl in a red floral dress sits in the foreground. Standing volunteers in white attend the seated crowd, some carrying trays, while a child is held by a man in a light blue shirt at right. A seated older man in a white shirt sits in the foreground with a plate.2007-07-29Outdoor convention scene on a bare dirt ground under large shade trees, with a blue and white striped canopy tent at left and a long white tent beyond. Dozens of people in white clothing queue in lines and stand in groups; women wear white saris with gold borders and men wear white shirts and dark trousers. A green-covered table and a white car are visible at right. Crowds of mostly men and women in white clothing fill the space; many are seated on red and blue plastic chairs eating from leaf or steel plates, while others stand and move about between the rows. A two-storey orange building stands behind the tent. Shoes are scattered on the grass in the lower left, and a white plastic bag sits near the seated figures. The scene appears to be a communal meal in a temple grounds setting. No individual can be confidently identified as a person.2011-07-15A crowded outdoor food distribution under a large maroon and brown canopy supported by bamboo poles. Men in white shirts and trousers, some with white or red ID badges, stand at the front serving food in clear plastic containers, while a man at lower right bends over a steel tray. Women in saris and salwar, some wearing orange, red and pink saris and white shawls, wait with plates and containers in the dense crowd. Steel serving vessels and food packets line the table at lower right. Buildings and parked vehicles are visible behind the tent.2009-08-02Outdoor food service under a large canopy with pink and maroon drapes and cream fabric, set on a grassy lawn. Many people in white dhotis and white kurtas or sarees serve and collect food from tables piled with round plates and steel vessels; a large cooking pot sits at the back. A man in an orange shawl and a person with long hair in orange clothing stand at the left under the canopy. A cameraman with a video camera films the serving line. Women wear white, cream and striped sarees and a woman in a blue saree stands at the lower right. The scene looks like community meal distribution at an event, with volunteers and attendees in white ritual-style clothing.2006-11-25Outdoor food service under a pitched canopy with red and white draping and gold-trimmed red valances. Many people in white clothing, including men in white shirts and dhotis and women in white and cream saris, stand and move among steel cooking pots, wooden platters and serving tables on grass.
