October 05 20132013-10-05A man in a rust-red monastic wrap with a striped orange-and-gold border stands outdoors beneath coconut palm fronds, pulling a twisted golden rope upward with his right hand. His head is tilted back and eyes closed. He wears long garlands of white jasmine interspersed with yellow and red flower clusters, plus a heavy necklace of gold-and-black beaded spheres, and a small tilak mark is visible on his forehead.
