A man in a white kurta with white sandalwood or vibhuti markings on his arm and bangles holds a silver oil lamp flame with folded hands in front of a gold-embossed brass tray holding a red fruit and flowers. Behind him an older man in white clothing with a rudraksha mala and gold-trimmed shawl sits with hands folded. On the right a man in a light turquoise patterned kurta and glasses lights a second silver lamp beside the ornate gold tray, with white flower garlands visible.2011-11-27Photograph of a man in glasses and a light teal patterned kurta holding a small silver oil lamp with a lit wick in his right hand, seated at a gold ritual tray. On the tray are silver bowls, a red apple, strawberries and white flowers. A second silver lamp burns at the left edge. At right, a woman in a pink garment with gold border is seen from behind, and a red-cushioned gold seat stands in the background. The setting suggests a puja or aarti. No a person candidate is visible, only a devotee holding a lamp.2011-11-27November 27 20112011-11-27A seated ritual scene in a warmly lit hall with an orange floor covering. A bespectacled man with short hair and a red bindi wears a white dhoti and shawl edged in gold, with a dark rudraksha mala around his neck and a steel wristwatch. He holds a small silver lamp in one open palm while looking down, a devotee-style presence at a puja. Beside him, a woman in a white sari with a gold border has a white forehead mark, eyes closed and palms pressed together in prayer. Another white-clad figure sits at the edge. In front, a silver tray holds offerings, and a small lit oil lamp glows on the right, with incense smoke drifting through the air.2010-11-15November 27 20112011-11-27A seated man in a white dhoti with gold-bordered edges and a rudraksha mala holds a small silver oil lamp in his cupped hands, lit by its flame, while looking upward. He has a red bindi and rimless glasses, and bare shoulders. To the right, a woman in white with a gold-bordered sari and bangles presses her palms together in anjali. Other people in white garments hold lit oil lamps at the edges, with a silver tray in the foreground. The reddish floor and dark backdrop complete the setting.2010-11-15December 01 20112011-12-01March 19 20142014-03-19Photograph of a ritual setting in which a bespectacled man with a short beard, wearing an orange and cream striped garment and a lanyard badge, holds a silver oil lamp with a lit flame over a large polished gold bowl.
