Many devotees sit on mats and white plastic chairs, mostly women and girls in white kurtas and saris, plus some in yellow and orange. A woman in a white sari and a woman in a blue-green sari sit at left. Bamboo poles hold up an orange cloth canopy at right, with a brass pot and offerings on the raised white and red platform. Many people are visible in the crowd, and some stand or sit toward the back.July 23 20102010-07-23July 23 20102010-07-23October 08 20082008-10-08A photograph of a large seated congregation inside a decorated pandal at a temple event. Many devotees sit on a bare floor in white clothes with orange shawls and saffron-orange borders, some wearing rudraksha-style beaded necklaces. A woman in the front right holds a brass kalasha-like pot, and a white-covered seat stands at the right edge. Behind them are banana trees, green palm fronds, orange and blue cloth banners and painted deity murti shrines with arches. A chalk kolam pattern lies on the ground in the lower left. No individual is clearly identifiable as a person; the seated figures appear to be devotees, so a person is none. Roughly several dozen people are visible.2007-01-01July 07 20102010-07-07 +1 copies
